The kit includes a window seal, a 2-in-1 coupler, an anti-clockwise exhaust hose, and all the necessary installation accessories. This kit works perfectly with our Munster 90 cm wide plastic sash windows. We can open the bottom pane and seal it, using the kit. There’s no real need to use the supplied tape except perhaps for long-term installation (ours is uninstalled at night, so that we can close and lock the window). The adapter for the hose does its job well. The kit’s a little flimsy and isn’t up to the standard of the AEG kit but, then, nor is the price! For £37.99, I’d recommend it, as long as you have a long gap to fill (up to 144 cms). For shorter gaps, cheaper versions of this, with fewer panels to join, may suffice.

This kit arrives in an easy to recycle cardboard box. I chose it because I wanted to stop a cat from coming in and eating our pet's food. A job that it does perfectly. Especially as it's so easy to install, uninstall and re-install. Something I used the included tape to do. I particularly liked how the sealing plate is so simple to adjust. The only issue I found was this set includes a very generous length of venting hose, rather than a smaller tumble drier sized hose. But that's my own fault for not checking the hose diameter before ordering. So, while I think it's possible to buy hose sizing adapters, I chose to create my own adaptor from sheet styrene and the included butterfly screws. Then I joined the venting hose to a shortened version of my tumble dryer hose. Something that not only worked great, but it also means I can my dryer around more easily. For example if I need to clean behind it. Though, however you might want to use this, it does a great job at at a very affordable price.

Anti clockwise only on the standard size of AC tube is moronic. But this is the only kit that has the proper depth either side of the pipe opening to properly fit my Victorian sash windows. So I guess I'm buying a clockwise replacement tube for my AC unit.

I have to say that I have two other window vent kits and they are material, and I found them fiddly to fit to a window. But this kit is totally the opposite because it is solid plastic, and because it is plastic it lends itself to other applications, like sliding patio doors, and for me that is a very big result as I do have sliding patio doors and with a total hight of 144cm this fits perfectly. You do get foam tape but I didn't use this as my patio doors have a type of draft excluder on them and this worked well as an airtight seal. I also like the fact you get a mesh vent to prevent unwanted visitors traveling up the exhaust vent, but I suppose this is only required if you're going to use it for prolonged periods, something I can't do as still need to use the patio door to get outside. So basically, this vent kit is well made, good quality, fits both windows and sliding patio doors and does exactly what it is designed to do. Recommended by me for sure and worth all 5 stars.

Apart from the obvious (and advertised) methods of installing this kit, there's enough scope with the parts that are included to come up with a bespoke installation (which I need to do), used in conjunction with a Perspex sheet I already have here. The parts are good and solid, they fit well and slide smoothly where appropriate, with the whole package giving the impression of quality and durability. If you want this for fitting in a standard 'sliding' frame, then you shouldn't have any problems. I need to be rather more creative unfortunately, but this kit gives me a great start with most of the required parts included in the box. Good stuff, and on a quality/value-for-money basis... 5-Stars.
