Very nice for larger items with sharps on them.
I like that I can drop the syringe in sharps and all and it falls in and the entrance rotates, drops the syringe, and rotates back to accept more. No exposed sharps because of this feature.

Perfect for Daily Diabetes Use
I was looking for a sharps container that would last me longer than a month or so and wouldn't waste "space" on the inside of. The regular 1 qt. containers tend to bottle up the used needles at the bottom. Because this container is horizontal (and large) the "pile up" instead and maximize disposal space.I am not giving this a 5 star review because it came pre-assembled. This normally wouldn't be an issue except it also came with the swivel lid closed (locked for disposal) and it took me almost 20 minutes of careful struggles to unlock it without breaking. I'm assuming that the person who assembled the container is unaware that by closing down the swivel lid it thus locks it. I prefer setting up the lid myself and making sure it is still usable!Besides it's ONE fault... otherwise great product and good value for your money!

Best Sharps Container I've Found
Best sharps container I've found so far.I do immunotherapy so have to get myself 2 shots every other day. Prior to this sharps container I had a smaller one which was a real pain to get the top off of each time. This one is so much better! The only thing I dislike is there are no instructions when you first get it and I almost made a big no no closing it for good. Thankfully my boyfriend was able to fix it. I was worried it would tip over spilling out the sharps if it fell, as it's never "closed" just balances shut would be the best way I can think of to explain it. I've had it for quite a while and no issues though. I will be purchasing another once this one if full. Highly recommend to those that have to do at home injections frequently.

Be Aware - May Get A Different Model
I use the BD 305517 but got a Cardinal #8507SA which is similar but not exactly the same disposal hinge. The BD is a weighted hinge that will drop the needle just by the needle's weight and is pull down. The Cardinal is a tip up hinge and doesn't seem to be weighted to drop automatically. The BD is excellent. Here's hoping the Cardinal works as well. Needed to put it in service immediately so return for ordered product is out.

diabetics dream
I'm a diabetic and I'm on insulin and i was going through 1 of those little sharps containers a month and it was getting a little pricey so I found this one on Amazon and I have had it for a little over 4 months and still have not filled it up the others were costing me about 6.00 a month and this one cost me 12 I think so saving money it also come with a safety flap when you put a needle into the tray it automatically drops it into the tub out of harms way and into a safe zone.

I bought a 2 pack but only one was any good
I loved the size - it held about 4 months worth of needles - I use 2 a day. Unfortunately the second container did not have the correct lid and I didn’t realize it until I was done with the first one. I will us3 it and duc5 tape the top to the bottom so I can dispose of it when 8 am done.

Works Like a Charm!
I liked this sharps container very much. I take one Victoza injection a day, plus whatever lancet stick I need to do. This has lasted the better part of a year. Came unassembled but if I can assemble it, any one can. It’s too big is you gave a very small bathroom counter, but it’s not too big for a moderately sized vanity type counter. No complaints at all.

Big enough for big syringes!
My doctor started me on Bydureon injections to help control my diabetes. Well, Bydureon comes with its own injector and it is huge! There was no way it was going to fit in my little sharps container. But this does the trick! This sharps container will stand up by itself - it doesn't need a base or wall mount either. The horizontal entry slot means you just lay (or drop) the syringe long-way in the slot and gravity does the rest. And once it's in the container, it isn't coming out.
