Prym - Chalk Cartridge Set - 1 Piece, Multi Colour, 18 Count (Pack of 1)

These work really well and having the different colours has been really helpful for marking on different coloured fabrics. The little sharpener works very well and helps maintain a fine point to the tip. I tried to use the "sticks" without putting them into the pen holder, but managed to break a few - I don't advise doing it! The sticks are quite fragile so need to be handled carefully and stored in the provided holder.

Particularly found the pencil sharpener useful. The chalk sticks are exactly the same size and width as the Koh-I-Noor branded one. The tips do wear down very quickly so the sharpener is essential as it is a different size to a standard sharpener. I have had no issues with snapping or failing to make marks and this is avery handy addition to my kit in addition to, but not instead of, heat erasable pens.

I actually love this product. Great price, great range of colours for all the different fabrics I use, and fits well in my hand. So, when in use, this product is a dream. It's the storage that I think lacks effort. This is what I image the product team saying - Guy 1 - Hey, let's give the customer 20 incredibly thin and fragile chalk sticks so they can be used on a variety of fabrics and look great - and let's do it for a good price Guy 2 - Yeh, but if we give them so many for cheap, how will we make money? Guy 1 - Check this out - we'll give them a box that doesn't close properly and package them in little bags to make it even more difficult to manage - if they don't drop and break every single one of them chalks in the first week, I'll eat my shoe Guy 1 still has all of his shoes.

As a quilter of more years than I care to mention, and having used various markers for my projects, I am seriously impressed with this chalk marker. Arrived earlier, immediately put into practise and wasn't disappointed. All the chalks arrived intact, including that in the mechanical pencil which has a good width and is comfortable to hold. The little sharpener is also good and once I got the hang of how far to push the mechanism of the pencil, produced a sharp point. The sharpener does create dust so I'm keeping a small dish to one side for this dust to be tipped into (especially when using the coloured chalks) and an old dry toothbrush to gently brush the chalk away if a mistake is made in the marking or after the quilting. Also, to see which works and which erases the best, will try the different colours on small scraps of fabric before using on the main item.

Really like this set of fabric chalks. Great for precision marking on fabrics if a frixion pen isn’t suitable. I’ve used the wedge-shaped chalks, which are fine for marking large pattern pieces but this set is brilliant for marking small/awkward shapes where precision is needed. This set has a great variety of colours, which are easy to change and easy to sharpen (with the sharpener included.) Love it! Value for money and versatile for most, if not all, fabric colours.

Great product. Easy to change coloured chalks into the pen. Pen a little bulky in hand. Brilliant piece of kit, to mark pattern out onto fabric, and markings on patterns. Chalks come into a little plastic box, and there is a chalk sharpener too. You can also erase your chalk as there is a rubber at end of pen 🖊. Makes life so much easier and quicker using this product.

This chalk pen is dream come true. It's soft and easy to write on fabric and works better than normal chalk. The cartridges are thin but durable and you can shave it with a sharpener which is provided in the pack. It's bold enough to see it on the fabric but a bit hard to remove it (there is an ereaser at the top of the pen but I couldn't use it on fabric) but I could use suitable colour for it. The white ones are difficult to see on light colour fabric but the colour ones work well. Anyway, overall, it is exactly what I wanted and would recommend it.

The chalk cartridge pen works well but the sharpener included with the set doesn't work at all, the blade seems to be either very blunt or wrongly placed in the sharpener because it doesn't connect with the chalk stick.

It doesn't mark the fabric as well as other chalk. That's my only take on it. I tried 5he white and the blue. It takes a lot of pressure to get it to mark the fabric. Not very helpful especially with jersey or knit fabric that moves around easily and has a lot of stretch to it.

Item arrives smashed. Only 1 piece of chalk is useable so can’t comment on how the different colours perform

I love this chalk pen for fabric marking. The chalks come in a variety of colours and have a nice hard shell case to protect them from breakage.
