A Baker's Field Guide to Christmas Cookies Paperback – Import, 11 October 2011

This is an excellent resource for old and new favorites. The recipes are easy to follow and we’ve had great success with them. Also love the pictures are included for every cookie, which display well on my Kindle.

My sister bought this book and I just purchased this for myself. It has great recipes that are easy to follow.

I bought a copy of this book for my sister in law with whom I live. We've tried a few of the recipes, and have found them uniformly decent. The "Field Guide" part is a little gimmicky, but still amusing, and it's worth reading through for entertainment value alone if you're into baking. It has useful tips and interesting facts dispersed throughout, as well as origin information on all the cookies. What really makes this book stand out is its binding: the spiral binding should be standard for all cookbooks.This rating approved by Samantha Biddlecom, cookbook owner.

Lots of pics and back stories of each cookie. A couple of new recipes that I had not known about. I purchased it both in book form and Kindle. I travel for a living and work on Naval ships as a Baker so this book comes in handy when I want a reference on International cookies.

One of the issues I find with holiday focused cookbooks is that they want to fill them with exotic strange things that look weird, have difficult methods for creation, or won't likely appeal to a large audience but "look great for a book picture!" . This is NOT that book. This book has a great variety of cookies but stays on track enough to be useful. Great book!
