Killer book 2!
Dare I say the second in a series could be better than the first? I think I will.Easy writing style, pretty short chapters, a little drama, and Suspense! The build up was great and I really felt the suspense in this one. I can’t wait to read the next book to see what The Naturals get in to.

JUst loved it
As with all of Jennifer Lynn Barnes's books, I ate it up. It hooked me from the first page, and I could hardly put it down. I just love the way she keeps the tension up and reveals plot twists. One can never be sure if their suspicion might be true, ending up astonished in the end again.

Immersed in the Intriguing World of "Killer Instinct”
Star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice rating 🌶️Diving into "Killer Instinct," I was immediately struck by the newfound layers of character depth that set it apart from its prequel "The Naturals." While the first book centered primarily on Cassie, her background and the killer, "Killer Instinct" added a rich tapestry of character growth for the entire group, drawing me in deeper than before. The blend of suspense and mystery in this book continues to be its strong suit, effortlessly pulling me into the enigma of solving the killer's identity. The story's ability to keep me engaged in the investigation speaks volumes about its compelling narrative. The allure of piecing together the puzzle of these chilling crimes is both exhilarating and thought-provoking."Killer Instinct" proved to be a masterclass in destroying expectations. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the story took unexpected turns, leaving me pleasantly surprised. My suspicion regarding Dean's father's participation in the crimes was indeed well-founded, revealing the author's talent for planting seeds of intrigue. The revelation of the killer initially left me slightly disoriented. However, the narrative deftly untangled the web of complexities, and as Cassie finally pieced it all together, the confusion transformed into clarity and I just thought to myself: I KNEW IT.The contrast in pacing between the two books was both unexpected and refreshing. "The Naturals" had swept me into its world with a rapid introduction that I thoroughly enjoyed. In contrast, "Killer Instinct" opted for a more deliberate, unhurried tempo. This change allowed me to savor the characters' development and explore their inner struggles in a way that felt more authentic.I have a deep affection for the entire group, which includes Micheal, Dean, Cassie, and Sloan. Nevertheless, my feelings toward Lia are complicated, a mixture of love and dislike. Despite my initial doubts about her persona, she succeeded in etching a little space in my heart throughout the narrative of "Killer Instinct." This development highlighted the author's talent in crafting complex characters capable of evolving and undergoing remarkable changes as the story unfolds. In addition, one of the highlights of "Killer Instinct" was witnessing the growth of Agent Veronica Sterling. Despite my reservations about her at the outset, her character arc left me thoroughly impressed. Her evolution, while grounded in good intentions from the start, showcased a depth that was truly gratifying to witness. As I turned the final pages of "Killer Instinct," I found myself eagerly anticipating the next book of the series. The groundwork has been laid for more mysteries to unravel and characters to invest in. This series continues to be a must-read for those seeking a blend of depth, suspense, and the allure of the unforeseen.
