Contains a mixture of 5-Chlor-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-on und 2-Methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-on (3:1) (CIT/MIT). May produce an allergic reaction. Review: This stuff is fabulous - It’s fabulous This is the product I’ve been looking for. It’s incredibly easy to apply in fact it’s so easy and works so well I’m annoyed I wasted money but more importantly so much time on wax. I’m new to chalk paint I had a large mirror, a large pine unit and two doors I wanted to revamp. I did my research and came to the conclusion that wax would be better than varnish. The mirror was good. I used graphite paint, Vaseline and white paint to give me a distressed look. Once dry I waxed and it looked exactly like I wanted. My problem came with the doors. I didn’t want a distressed look here I just wanted graphite sanded so the grain showed. The wax was a complete disaster. I admit it was probably my fault and if there’s an art to waxing it’s clear I don’t have it. The wax brought the paint off and it looked awful. I realised I couldn’t continue so I cleared away the wax using white spirit and a sanding block and re-painted. I didn’t want to varnish so I looked around for other options and found this. This is a fabulous product and exactly what I’ve been looking for. It goes on so easily and the coverage is really good. The only possible downside I can see is that it makes the surface darker and takes away some of the contrast. I was just so happy to find this product. The fact that my door was darker and less varied was a small price to pay. If like me you’re new to chalk paint and you’re looking for a sealant then this could be exactly what you need. I’ve included pictures of one of the doors before, during and after sealing. Review: Good product - Good product, time will show. Update: 04.2020 Still holding strong. Although it went more gold now, I think due to pollution and amount of sunlight. Great stuff

Good, strong, durable, easy to apply and a little goes a long way.
A bit pricey but it goes quite far. Gives a very slight sheen, not enough to be able to really tell it’s “varnished”. Doesn’t change the colour really either (if I was being really picky I’d say colour chart wise it’s darkened by one shade, to the naked eye you can’t tell). Dries fairly quickly to touch and isn’t that strong smelling. This one pot has covered a 6 seater dinning table, a tall corner unit and a big gaming/pc desk. I have yet to use this on any outside furniture so don’t know what it’s like weather proof wise.

Would highly Recommend
So easy to apply, we are refurbishing a very old piano, I am using this to go over and seal the chalk paint it gives a lovely finish, so easy to wash up after using in just water. I am applying it with a sponge, goes in lovely. Photo shows a section painted with the sealer and the lighter part has not had it on yet

Not happy.
It did a great job but the interior of the tin has rusted and now it's tinted yellow so completely unusable. Only opened a few weeks ago.

Really good sealant.
Really loved it. Seems to offer better protection to furniture wax. Slight yellowing if you layer that sealant too thick on white. But overall really happy with product.
