Great Material to Print Fast! Great for Quick Projects!
This stuff flow QUICK, the color is nice and matte black as described, and it works well for most things I want to print. There is some stringing with the black PLA, and you NEED to use a temp ladder print to dial in the temps for this becasue the black PLA needs a lower temp to avoid little blobs and excessive stringing. But once its dialed in its a great material. However it does not do well with sun exposure. It will warp so make sure to use something like PETG if you want something that can take more direct sunlight/heat.

Great Filament for the Price
Ive gone through a dozen or so spools of Elegoo Rapid PLA at this point. I've found no snags/tangles or any other issues. It prints well at high speeds and is pretty forgiving on settings (it doesn't require careful tuning). It doesn't 'hide' layer lines the way some matte filaments will but works well nonetheless. I've bought a few other filaments that run about 5-10$ more per spool and seen no noticeable differences, none that would justify the higher price.

Works really well but packaging is a problem and possible product defects
UPDATE: (original review is below) I am updating to 5 stars as this filament deserves. Yes they definitely had a manufacturing issues with black spots in the white on my shipment as well a few others I saw in the reviews but they contacted me right away and sent me a replacement spool. So in the end sometimes defective products get out the door but what is important is how the manufacturer responds to the problem and they did great. Now I know that if it happens again they will make it right. One more reminder to Elegoo is to tape the boxes shut so spools don’t fall out in transit.Im kind of in the market for anew printer so I’m almost even tempted to get their new Centaury Carbon printer that is coming out in a few days but so far I have only seen reviews from influencers which honestly I only trust so much as it is their business. We’ll see. I definitely recommend this filament.I have purchased this Elegoo two rolls of PLA PLUS at least 5 times before and I really like it but this last experience was less than perfect. In fact one of the two rolls was lost -twice- because the manufacturer’s box it comes in is not tapes shut so it opens in transit and the Amazon guy goes home with a roll of filament! The third time I selected for it to be boxed in an Amazon box and it managed to arrive safely. Unfortunately as you can see from the images there are black spots in the white filament which at first I didn’t think anything of it but as you can see from the finished printed product it ends up giving me black smudging right on the surface. So at this point even though I used a little of the roll this is unusable and it needs to be exchanged. I will wait to see if anyone reaches out to make this right before I initiate a return to see how the company handles service/support because I want to believe this is a fluke and I’d like to order more.

This stuff is awesome! looks great, is really strong and has an amazing value.
The best budget PLA Filament. This stuff is so good, prints fast and maintains quality, and it looks clean. I got the black, it's a lil gloss so look into matte PLA if your into that but for functional parts this is really strong and does the job well.

Smooth Prints, Vibrant Color, and Super Reliable!
The ELEGOO Rapid PLA Plus Filament in green is everything I hoped for—clean, high-speed prints with zero clogging or stringing. It handles speeds up to 600 mm/s like a champ and maintains great layer adhesion and detail. The color is bold and consistent, and I really appreciate the eco-friendly cardboard spool. With a tight ±0.02 mm tolerance, this filament runs flawlessly through my printer. Definitely one of my new go-to brands!

Great filament for high speed printing
For the most part, I have had few problems with this filament, since I made some concessions. First thing to note is that the spool of red filament wasn't properly vacuumed before it was sealed. The spool of white, no complaints... once I started using glue stick on the bed. The black gave me a couple of good prints but has had stringing problems and popping sounds when printing. It has been in airtight storage with Dessicant since its first use (one 3DBenchy that looked pretty good, apart from the stringing. The red is just a mess. So very much stringing. I'm sure that I would need a method of drying filament at some point, but I didn't anticipate having to buy drying equipment immediately to dry the new filament from my printer manufacturer. Here we are, though. I haven't tried the blue yet. It still is sealed and the way some of this stuff has been taking on water, I'll leave it sealed until needed. I'm modifying a food dehydrator as a filament dryer to see how it does after drying. Oh, the glue on the bed has been necessary with all the colors, not just the white. Everything has been calibrated to death, with the help of after sales support, but the time difference between the US and China makes it difficult. They have been helpful with proper settings that I was unable to find elsewhere, which finally made it printable. I don't feel like I have gotten a good value for my money given the premium price. Oh, though this is "Rapid" PLA+ don't expect 500mm print speed even if your printer supports it. 250mm/sec seems about as fast as it ever gets while still maintaining layer adhesion, and that is going to be rarely and only on infill. 150mm/sec for straight lines is average since I dropped Elegoo's fork of Cura. That actually helped the most with all the problems. Any setting over 250mm/sec and you are greeted with a hairball. Every time. I have no doubt that this will be better after drying, but I can't say that I'll be buying Elegoo filament again.Edit: Since Amazon won't let me review the single roll of Rapid PLA+ Silver separately, I've dropped it to two stars because this spool hasn't passed a print yet. First layer adheres fine, (again with glue every time), but the overall layer adhesion has been absolute (insert your favorite euphemism for fecal matter). I leveled my bed at least 30 times trying to print a first layer adhesion test. It wasn't the bed, it was the soggy filament. It sounds like popcorn when printing and there are little explody zits on the print. I got one "usable" print out of this so far, in so much as I had to sand it for hours to get the strings and bumps off. That one was straight out of the packaging. Swapped to the white and it printed perfectly the first time. On another note, calling this silver is highly misleading. I believe the description was "similar in finish to brushed aluminum." It is similar in appearance to grey plastic. The only difference I can see is that the grey color is slightly darker than what they call grey. I will try my best to edit this review once I have dried it out and tried again, but unless it slices and sands itself, I don't see a lot of room to improve my opinion. First impressions mean a lot, and my first impression is never again.Edit 2: I was contacted by Elegoo after sales support after leaving my review. They were really attentive and were keen to make it right. They offered to replace all of the filament. I had already purchased the supplies to dry it, so I declined. Then they refunded for all 5 rolls. The filament performed very well after drying. I continued to have problems, so I recalibrated, and things went surprisingly well considering my printer had a cracked throat tube and there was a tiny of filament leaking and pushing things off further with each print. I was able to get a couple of prints to finish with minimal artifacts and zero stringing at 250mm/sec. Any company that stands by their products to this degree gets a second look from me. I will update again once I get a replacement for my printer, and I am able to give this filament a fair shake. In the meantime, I will update to a tentative 4 stars based on the improvement in the filament and the admittedly fantastic customer support. We'll look at that last star when I get a chance to give it a real run.Edit 3: With the replacement printer this filament has performed very well. I have had no stringing to speak of with any of the filament once it was dried. Once the first layer goes down, I can usually leave it to print without supervision. I just check in on my webcam that I set up for that purpose. I have nearly used the entire white spool and quite a lot of the others. For the record, the "silver" still looks like grey plastic but at least it makes usable and displayable prints now. I have used other brands since and the Elegoo has been the only thing to stand up to the high speeds available on my printer. I run 250mm/s minimum after the first layer and all my prints come out great. I wish that the Neptune 4 Pro I bought worked as well without tuning every few prints. If they could get their bags to seal properly so that 1 out of every 3 doesn't come vacuum sealed, I would look no further for my filament needs.

Best Filament I've used.
Elegoo Rapid PLA is the best filament I've had the pleasure of using for my printers. It works so well and I've printed and build many awesome things and the price is just phenomenal. I'd give 10 stars if I could.
