Fun to build and Nice to look at
Photos are from the middle of the construction. My entire family found putting this together entertaining. It is NOT what I would consider something that you will put together quickly, but it is easy. The instructions are clear and mostly accurate. Very few mistakes. I found one while still putting together the books, but it was obvious and you just apply common sense and you'll get it right. So you start off putting together the books and then taking those books and making piles of books. Just stay with the instructions and it will make sense later. Then you start making furniture. It seems like getting through the first three pages takes so long, but then things start moving along faster. We used two types of glue: wood glue for gluing together wood-to-wood pieces and we used regular Elmer's glue for sticking the paper labels and book covers to wood pieces, etc. The way we did it was that we (as a family of four) would start gluing things together until we need to wait for them to dry and then we went back to gluing things together again. It took us about 3-4 days, visiting the project a few times a day, to complete it. It looks great. We are very happy with the project and it looks great in our library. It functions well. I was happy because I bought one from a different company that marketed on Facebook a few years ago and I was completely ripped off. This product from CRIOLPO, turned out to be good.

Very nice
Very cute. It took a long time to put together because many pieces must be glued (e.g., frames on pictures, books onto shelves), and you have to wait for the glue to dry before continuing to put it together. Other than that, everything snapped together easily.

Good
Good activity to keep you busy. Quality was okay, wood pieces broke easily. Cost was not bad.

Decent Book Nook Kit Overall
After having put together a few oof these before, I've started to gain an idea of what goes into a quality kit vs. a subpar kit. The one I'm reviewing is the Library of Books. I have the detective agency one as well but haven't put it together yet.Upon opening the box, I saw that like some kits, this one included everything you needed to get started, which was pretty cool. It had a file for rough edges, glue, stickers to hold up the wires, and a sheet of the different book "sleeves". It started off by having you work on the details first(i.e. the books). Sometimes those will be stickers but these were a cut and glue sort. If you're the type that looks to get right into it and do not appreciate the detail work, this may not be the kit for you. About 30% of your time will be putting together small books, book stacks and an array of different furniture pieces. One major thing to note here is this kit, while it has slots for fitment, it is not a snap together kit. Or, if it is, my kit wasn't done correctly. I found myself gluing everything together. For some that's a deal breaker. It was a more patient process but I grew to appreciate it over time and it had me taking my time with this puzzle. After finishing it, you get a different kind of accomplishment. The pieces were easy to remove but there were a couple of splinters and filing was a necessity. Either use a small file or the nail board they give you to smooth those out. Best suggestion: pop the pieces out from the unfinished side, so if there is damage to the piece it won't be seen. I found overall, the laser cutting was done well enough and the manufacturers were smart in the way they machined the intricate pieces so I never really had to worry that I would snap anything. After rolling off the worst kit in existence(probably), this was a welcome surprise. The detail work on this puzzle is phenomenal and when you finish it you feel a great sense of accomplishment. Particularly, due to the building nature of the puzzle. The guide was well thought out, color, and was logical in their approach to how to assemble it. There is a little bit of finesse involved in some of the areas(the second story in particular) so I'd minimize the use of the glue to make it "tackier" to hold together or use super glue for those parts. After a while, super glue was my go to for this kit.Overall, I'd rank it 3.5/5. The quality of the kit is great but the gluing aspect of it all made the cut out slots almost pointless. The books require a solid amount of precision if you're the OCD type of person like myself. The lights do work and the sensor is a neat touch but the stickers provided to hold the wires don't really fit well on the ceiling forcing you to alter the shape to work with them if you want to make it clean. Not really a dealbreaker, but the pieces given should fit. That said, the laser cutting was pretty decent and the small pieces were easily removable. The detail on it is nice and the finished product is very nice to look at. It's a cool kit but you just have to be patient with this one. Don't let my rating take away from the overall quality of the finished product. I've just seen some kits that are more precise or more convenient to assemble. It is worth trying out if you do not mind the detail "busy work" and gluing pieces together. It'll teach you the importance of patience and ROI lol.
