I like its size (about the same as a hymn book)
This is a well-constructed Bible. I like its size (about the same as a hymn book); it lies flat when open for comfortable reading on a desk, and it feels like quality paper--not too thick or thin. I think it will hold up well over years of reading. I was frankly concerned that the type would be larger than I wanted. But the two-column-per-page layout and easy-to-read typeface are a plus, and I did not find the larger size distracting--in fact it has the advantage of being easier to read from a greater distances, such as reading from a table or podium while standing, than most smaller typefaces. It's very basic, and not a deluxe or ornate Bible, but it serves its purpose well.

Yay for a new bible
It's a good bible, I'm content with the thickness and organization of it.

Great Bible
Large print that I can see without squinting. Good hard cover bible. No frills pew style bible. I did remove the dust cover, but that is personal preference. Holds up to Tombow water color makers for highlighting.

It’s Perfect For Me
I’m not an expert, I’m a beginner and this large font version in hardcover is perfect. Great price as well. I love mine and I’m confident it will last me a long while.

The perfect Bible - I've already worn it out LOL
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this Bible, it is absolute perfection. But for reference, I am buying both the NIV and KJV cause I like those 2 best. Please note that the Bible and cover came brand new, I have just put it through a lot already, I just got back from a 5 day church camp and we use our Bible 4 times a day for about 2 hours each time.

A good, sturdy, easy-to-read, no frills Bible.
I've been looking for a good, sturdy, easy-to-read, no-frills Bible that I can carry anywhere and not worry about it getting damaged. This New International Version (NIV) Large Print Pew and Worship Bible fills my needs perfectly... almost.First, the positives: this Bible has a very sturdy hard cover that does a very nice job of withstanding some of the bumps, bruises, and drops I've already given it. Although it has a glued binding rather than a sewn one (sewn is always preferred), the binding is very strong and shows no signs that it will ever come apart. The paper is very opaque; there is almost no show-through or ghosting. The paper feels nice and the pages are easy to turn. The Bible lays flat from beginning to end. The Comfort Print font is large, dark (mostly; more about that below), and easy to read. Now the negatives: The Bible should have a sewn and not a glued binding. Sewn bindings are always stronger and withstand hard use better. There are no ribbon markers. (I believe every Bible, no matter how inexpensive, should have at least one.) Zondervan's printing quality control is inconsistent. Although I didn't find any blank pages (as some other reviewers did), I did find several pages where the print is quite faint - more of a medium gray rather than pitch black. All of these pages are readable, but I think this is unacceptable, even for a low-priced Bible like this. The positive attributes of the NIV Pew and Worship Bible far outweigh the negative, however, so I can recommend this Bible with only minor reservations.
