## Questions & Answers

**Q: How much power does this consume if plugged in but timer not activated?  Also, are the lights bright if used in a bedroom overnight?**
A: Re the Timeguard, I had never bothered to measure this, as it never got noticeably warm so I guessed the power was small. However, since you ask I have used my Wattmeter to measure it as ONE WATT. I use this unit in the bedroom to control Radio & TV and find it very useful, but it is important to mount it so it is out of the line of sight, as the lights are quite bright and also blue in colour which is not ideal.

**Q: How do you turn your appliance back on after the timer has turned it off?**
A: Easy! Push the button and restart the timing down process again. Pushing the button chooses 15m, 30m, 60m or 120m. 
I use one of mine on my electric blanket. If I wake chilly I push the button and warm up. 
Another one on a fan heater so it can’t be left on by mistake. 
Highly recommended.

**Q: Hi - I've brought a new freezer and the plug socket is not drawing enough power to use it.  Will this be any good or if not can anyone recommend**
A: This useful item is a countdown timer, with 4 fixed times. They are particularly helpful at the moment to control  portable electric heaters, and avoid them being forgotten and left on. I think maybe the word "boost" is confusing here. I believe it comes from similar units used to boost hot water systems by bringing them on once;
for extra hot water, for visitors maybe? I know of no units that will boost the power available at sockets.
