Zymol - HD Cleanse

I've done the 4-step Zymol auto paint treatment several times. Nothing comes close to the final finish I get from Zymol. The yin-yang of it though is that it is a 4-step process and takes more time. More time and work equals a superior car finish. After finishing with Zymol I don't need wipers in the rain and hardly have anything to dry after a wash. The water just beads right off. Don't take shortcuts; do the Auto Bathe to be followed by the Klay-Bar, then 3rd is using the HD Cleanse to be finished by the Zymol make/or color-specific wax. Zymol products are on the expensive side but it's well worth it.

I owned a black '02 Chevy Z71 and used this product on it last month when I waxed it, just before I sold it.I'm a nut and go full tilt when I wax my truck at least 2, more like 3 times a year. My standard procedure is to clay bar first, then wax. This time, I decided to try all Zymol product to see how it stacks up against my current Meguiars Quik Clay and Mothers Carnuba Wax. First off, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!! It DOES make all the difference in the world with this product. Use this as step 2 in your wax regimen. Yeah, you need a little more elbow grease to get the product off, but the results are WELL worth it. After I clay bar-ed my entire truck the paint was the usual smooth condition. But after I used the HD Cleanse.....NOTICABLE difference in the feel of the paint. Literally, I took a clean cotton t-shirt, threw it on the hood, and the shirt glided across one side to the other and fell on the ground! Sheer beauty it was!!! Final step was with Zymol Carbon wax and the final product was more than beautiful! Well worth the money spent and extra sweat!

Purchased this product over a year or so ago and used it on small projects so it’s lasted a good while . Worked very well . I creamy light brown paste consistency. Apparently they have changed the formula. I recently ordered a new bottle . The newest product is a watery light cream version of cottage cheese that has spoiled . You can shake it until your arm swells up and stir it with a stick until you get dizzy and it still looks like watered down cottage cheese. If you try to use it , it simply makes a mess on your machine and doesn’t cleanse anything . They will state that in order for their wax to work you need to use this product first . Good luck with that ! Figured I’d give them the benefit of the doubt so I sent this bottle back and they sent me a new bottle . The second bottle was exactly the same so I must assume this is as good as it will ever get . Which ain’t good . I’ll send this bottle back also and take the refund . Time to move on , put thes folks behind me. Waited a week , ran it through a kitchen sieve , very fine , came out still like cottage cheese only finer . No matter what you do or hw much you shake it , nothing works . Stop look around , almost any other product will be better then this , I’m surety sure spit would work better . As for me , I’m out 28 bucks .

This product is amazing. It removes all old wax residue from the vehicle and leaves the paint in the best condition to apply the hand crafted wax. The product is the consistency of a cleaner wax. If you apply per the directions it is easy on easy off. I purchased the zymol hand crafted carbon wax and had been applying after clay bar without using HD Cleanse. Using the HD Cleanse makes a noticeable difference. After using this product your vehicle will be the cleanest it has ever been. I would not spend the money on this product if you follow up with an inexpensive wax as the difference you notice will be minimal, the real difference can be see when followed up with the hand crafted waxes, the hand crafted wax does not clean the paint at all... if you have a dried water drop on the paint the hand crafted wax does not take it off. The HD Cleanse or clay bar first is paramount if you use the hand crafted wax.

I took a leap of faith and purchased the Zymol cleanse and carbon wax. I had no idea if these products were worth their cost compared to other cleaners and waxes, but thought they would be worth a shot.The HD Cleanse is easy to use. I also used clay bars for really tough surface contaminants. As a comparator, I think cleanse is easier to use, but doesn't get out "baked on" contaminants as well as clay. That being said, the car surface was noticably smoother. I used the cleanse on the top surfaces prior to using the wax. When I started waxing over the car, the wax went on whisper quiet. Waxing was so easy that I tried it on side surfaces that I didn't use the cleanse, with noticable differences - noiser and more resistance.After I was done with the cleanse and wax the car surface was smooth and the color really jumped out. I barely used much of either product, so even though they are pricy, I think I will get many applications out of both. So they do give good value despite the high up front price.

I use this on my vintage sewing machines for excellent results. Protects the finish and decals and leaves a beautiful shiny finish.

Like Kansas Madcow I used the cleanse as preparation for Zymol carbon. Unlike G. Kelley I did the whole car. There is no point waxing over harmfull contaminates and sealing them in with your paint. The reason the car was being waxed was to save time washing off road dirt and ocean spray.The cleanse is necessary to get the unique Zymol Carnauba formulas to stick to the paints surface. I applied it after claying. The wax must be applied over it within 24 hours. The required Zymol HD cleanse is the same Montan oil cleaner used to prepare for specialty Waxes and Glazes that cost much more. No matter what priced product you eventually choose, preparation will be the same with the HD cleanse the last step before the final coat. The Zymol cleaner was easy on, and easy off. Zymol customer service was vey helpful.
