2 3/8" measuring with a tape measure. I did not use a caliper for exact measurement.

Q: Mine only came with recipe book. Where can I get the instructions and app?

Search your app store for BLITZHOME. It is a wifi app for many appliances and tools. Once downloaded you can go to Kitchen Appliances and find the Sous Vide tool. It will help you to connect your Sous Vide tool to your phone. It's a little finicky but once connected it's easy to use. The manual that came with mine had such small print I didn't use it.
