These work well. Thankfully, I haven’t had an actual emergency and I hope to never actually needing them, but I did have a false alarm. That may sound annoying, but it taught me that SimpliSafe will call you IMMEDIATELY. They were very proactive so I feel safe. It was also incredibly easy to install at a reasonable price.

My son demanded that I get one of these for their accuracy, Quality, and safety, we wound up getting 2.

Easy to add to your existing simplisafe system

All smoke and CO detectors fail evetually. They have a limited lifespan and I wouldn't trust any that are more than 10 years old. I recently bought 5 Simplisafe smoke detectors and one of them failed within a few weeks. So, why the 5-star rating? I've had plenty of these devices from other companies go belly-up prematurely, so I'm not too surprised that a Simplisafe one failed. Fortunately, I have a premium subscription to the Simplisafe service, and that entitles you to a lifetime warranty on all their devices. I contacted the company and - after some troubleshooting and testing - they sent me a new replacement unit free of charge. I just have to mail them back the defective smoke detector. They pay the postage. Hardware is hardware, and any electronic device may die. Simplisafe probably uses the same manufacturers as other companies, but if you have their excellent premium alarm coverage at least you don't have to worry about paying for device failures. Highly recommended if you have a premium Simplisafe plan already. BTW, it's a great service.

Pairs seamlessly with the rest of the system. I inadvertently tested this on Thanksgiving when I spilled some turkey juice in the bottom of the oven and smoked out the house. I was both embarrassed and pleasantly surprised when I received a call from SimpliSafe to verify my safety. They were able to put a temporary bypass on the smoke detector contacting them

This is a great product that easily is added to a SimpliSafe home alarm system. I bought one for each each level of my house and even received a discount on my homeowners insurance for having central-station monitored Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors. (I left my wired unmonitored smoke detectors in place in each room of my house). I wanted to give 5 stars, but had to give 4 because the ceiling bracket for teh detectors is a little too fragile. Not an issue once installed, but you have to install carefully so as to not break the bracket while installing.

I purchased this alarm back in January and I am absolutely thrilled with it! First and foremost, set-up was extremely easy and the product synced with my app upon set-up. As for functionality, admittedly, I am not the best cook and the alarm has triggered instantly (twice!) when too much heat came off one of my pans! Simply Safe immediately called and asked if I needed assistance and I confirmed with them that all was well. I was shocked at how quick they called to make sure everything was safe and sound! I am a Simply Safe fan for life! Thank you!
