The best place to mount this damn thing is on the arm of your quad with some racing wires underneath it and some clear shrink tubing. Less interference from your '3 Vista or '04 air unit or whatever you're flying. Most people fly digital screw analog this will help you return your investment when you go out of range or just fail safe from going behind and mountain building whatever GPS returned you home range or for every drone that you build and I found the best place to mount them is on the arm of your Quad

This thing is TINY, and it works super well. I needed a decent GPS for a ROS2 project, and saw this after doing some digging. Its quite popular in the ardupilot community. I had no issues getting both the GPS and compass working with ros2.The GPS locks on crazy fast even inside my house which caught me off guard. My experience with other GPS chips has been hold it up high and maybe it will lock after a while if you are testing inside. I had to verify the accuracy it locked on so fast, and it was spot on. I will likely buy this again if I happen to need another GPS chip.

I absolutely love. This gps I get says within a minute but 30 seconds most times by time 04 is ready I'm arming and going and gps rescue has been lofesaver

Great GPS reception...can lock onto satellites very quickly and I usually have 15-20 locked in several seconds.

Pros: good pricing, lock quickly.Cons: pinout order is inconsistent comparing to other vendor; False advertising about min voltage 3.3V, does not work at all at 3.3V. It requires at least 3.7V to operate normally.

Nice quality GPS. Locks on 12-18 sats. I'm not neccessarily using it for a drone build at the moment, more of an experiment but it's doing what I need it to. Nice chip.

So I, like many, believed the good reviews and the fact that this device has the same part number as Matek GPS's do and bought some because the price is so good compared to the Matek. Well that is where the similarity ends - every last one that I tried took a full 3 plus minutes to find 4 satellites and after 5 minutes hadn't locked on the required 6 to arm the bird. And even after "locking on" it lost satellites so fast that I usually can't maintain a lock that allows me to use autolaunch. So if your application isn't for a flying machine you might be fine but if you want to use this to save your aircraft in the event of an emergency it will likely cost you your plane/quadcopter as its poor quality defeats the whole purpose of it.
