works great
for a fluker's product I was pleasantly surprised it works and the ceramic didn't crack or the wire melt.

Excellent product
Have purchased this many times and the product does an excellent job of "hiding the bulb" and is very well made and durable. Have never had one fail. Excellent product. Will continue to purchase as needed.

Good
I’m sure good but I prefer the mini domes.

Good light but has issues with bulbs sometimes
Bulbs must be screwed in extremely tight, otherwise the light will flicker or not work. This can be hard to due and has resulted in a few bulbs breaking. I've had this problem with both of the sun domes I've ordered. But once set up, it works very well.

Great
Bought my second one a little over 2 yrs later for my adult red eared sliders. 2 yrs ago I upgraded their space to a 90 gallon and made them a basking area made out of white egg crate (Home Depot). They needed a light sufficient enough for their needs. It helps almost immediately with the younger ones shell, that pealed like normal but started to not shed the scutes. They started to turn a different color as they really just didn't seem to want to come completely off. My turtles never had soft spots in their shell and this situation with the younger one made me think they needed a better light to help with the vitamins they needed as they eat a heathy diet. This works well and lasts long for the money. I know when it is time to replace when the heat starts to die. A little over 2 yrs respectfully. I will never use another bulb, not even if i get lizards.

Used these to Save Outdoor Feral Kitty and Hummingbirds in the Frigid WInter Temps
Bought two of the Fluker's Sun Dome Reptile Lamps, used them with Pecute Heater Lamp Ceramic Heat Emitter 100W 110V Heater Lamp Bulb and GrayBunny GB-6812 Metal Tree Branch Hook to keep humming bird feeder from freezing in winter, and to heat a corner of my deck by my patio window for a feral kitty who will not go into an enclosed space. Hung them under an overhang on my deck to protect from moisture, as they are probably not really designed for outdoor use, but under the overhang have done well for weeks with no short circuits. For the kitty bed, also bought the ASPCA Microtech Striped Dog Bed Cuddler, 28 by 20 by 8-Inch and insert into it the K&H Manufacturing Extreme Weather Heated Kitty Pad 12.5-Inch by 18.5-Inch (fits inside PERFECTLY, by the way). I have the lamp positioned about 18" over the pet bed with the heated pad in it, which is right up against my patio window, and this set up keeps the ambient air temp in this space about 30 degrees warmer. When it is below freezing, the temperature in his spot is 50 - 60 degrees; and even when we had overnight temps in the teens, it was over 45 degrees in his spot.

which I would recommend when using this combination of setup
Appears quite well-made, especially the ceramic socket part, which has proven problematic or even occasionally dangerous in some brands built to lesser specs. So far this one is working out extremely well for my tortoise hatchlings' enclosure, and I am using a 100W Mercury vapor light that is on 13 hrs. a day. (I also use a light stand to minimize bumps/vibrations to lamp and light, which I would recommend when using this combination of setup.) I really doubt I'll experience any "dramas" since the components are of good quality and so long as good judgement is exercised with these components. (The baby torts seem happier with their new light/heat sources as well— quite seriously.)Hint: I wish Fluker's or someone other than ZooMed would develop a really well-made "double dome" lamp set that would accommodate a nighttime heat source like a ceramic heat emitter or IR heat bulb, + a daytime (but non-Mercury vapor) "cooler end of the habitat" UVA&B heat & light source, with separate cords for separate On-Off controls for each light.

Need contact
I would like the seller to contact me please. I thought I was getting bad bulbs because I was replacing a bulb every 2 to 3 weeks. The last bulb I just went to change yesterday and as I was unscrewing it it lit up. So I think I’ve been throwing away good bulbs and it’s the fixture that is bad. It has done this one or two other times but I still just assumed it was the box but speaking with a friend of mine who has the same one she said she got one one time that was bad as well. I don’t think this is a seller issue and this occurs with all their products I just feel like I may have gotten a bad one
