Love this Scalextric extension pack, bought as a Christmas present for the grandchildren. To go with Scalextric also bought as a Christmas presesnt

This is the Old Style straights for Scalextric extensions which proved to be great for my set up. If you have the Start Converter Tracks, this will be no problem but if you have the Old Style of Set, this will be the same for you without converter tracks. The value for money is brilliant and a good packaging too. If you want to make your circuits bigger, this is for you. Scalextric is a great way to make more and more of your circuits with the extensions and I have used the straights to make it a more interesting track.

Has really improved our current set and has been a very good extension. It does not take up very much space and takes a lot of skill to master for it is possible to drift on the outside lane but harder to do so on the inside lane. We bought two for a double hairpin which means that each car has a turn on the outside track. It is quite tight so it is possible to push the other car off and definitely adds a lot more competition to any race.

Great fun

Comes with three "chicanes" where cars will hit each other if you're not careful! Good selection of track which allows you to extend your set. Why only 3 stars? Two reasons. The "jump" section is really tricky. There is no guidance as to how far apart the launch ramp and landing ramp should be. Too far apart - and the jump is impossible. The same is true if too close together. And here is the second reason it lost stars. The launch ramp "clips" into a standard straight section of track, and takes its power from the two metal strips either side of the slot. Removing the launch ramp tends to pull these strips away from the track - damaging the track!! If you DO use the jump - set it up and leave it set up on a straight section. Don't keep taking it apart!

Scalecxric is a very good product, not quite as expensive as Carerra, this expansion pack is listed as White via the listing, but this is black track, and I do not believe they make white track.
