Easy to install
Useful rack for a katanga, even a practice one. Not made for European style swords but that's obvious on the sales page. Great for display of a proper Samuri sword if you've got one. Otherwise a convenient way to keep a practice sword handy.

Fine for the items listed, less so for others
As per the list of suitable weapons, this mount is designed for items with a more rounded profile and a narrow or non-existent guard. It won't, for example, hold an unscabbarded sword well, or one with a deep guard; for example, no British Army regulation pattern swords will fit into it as their guards, even on the body side of the weapon, are too deep. Knuckle hilted naval/RAF swords would, but again their scabbards are too narrow for them to sit well on this. Light sabres would indeed sit perfectly! I hasten to add, for the avoidance of doubt, that the possession or trading of any "samurai" swords with blades longer than 50cm made after 1954 and/or not by traditional methods - eg those you used to find in souvenir shops at seaside resorts - is illegal. Just so you know.
