would buy again
My husband's review of his new gadget...The head is too large for pallets smaller than 4 inches high. The arms that pry up the wood can go in further than 6", so the user needs to pull it back if there is another board to remove right next to the first one or they will only catch about an inch of the second board potentially tearing it up. The nail puller that came with the pallet buster bent on my first pallet. To be fair, the 5 nails I used a claw hammer on before bending the nail puller were so embedded in the wood that it ripped their heads off. I used an older pry bar I'd had for a while with the same design that didn't bend or take the heads off the nails.I'd buy it again since he did the same amount of work with this in about half an hour that took about 3 hours without it... and much less torn up wood with this item. The nail puller is crap, but that's not what we were buying this for since we have a heavy duty one already.

Vital if you do ANYTHING with pallets
I bought one of these to use, and my father liked it so much that he swiped it from me. I ended up having to get myself a new one! They're really worth their weight in gold when you're taking apart pallets! I can break down a pallet in just a few minutes without destroying any of the slats. After, I just turn it upside down and knock the nails out. It sure beats prying it apart with a crowbar or cutting with a circular saw. Overall, I get much more usable wood out of a pallet when I am using this product!

Excellent value and highly effective tool!
Great quality and does the job effectively. Now, if they could invent something that ensures all the nails come out of the stringer as you pry the cross board off the pallet you could save even more time and boards. I work with reclaimed wood daily and this tool makes taking most pallets (hardwood pallets are difficult to take apart with any tool) apart, pretty easy. If you're a weekend hobbyist or your daily work requires you to take pallets apart, while trying to reclaim as much wood as possible then this is the tool for you. I must admit at this price point I was a little skeptical that perhaps this tool would be flimsy and wouldn't last. It appears that my skepticism was unfounded as this is a well designed and constructed tool that appears will last for some time. Again, I highly recommend this tool.

HEAVY DUTY: Huge and heavy. Works great, but too big for some pallets
I ordered this because they said it was heavy duty, and they were right. Heavy, and heavy duty. It will NOT break.Works great, and being heavier it requires less strength to use than smaller and lighter types.BUT, this huge tool sometimes won't fit between the slats of some pallets. You must start at the edge, and that is inconvenient sometimes.I've used many times, but will buy a smaller lighter duty bar too.I would buy again, but keep in mind, this is one heavy, big pallet bar.

Works better than the government.
I love finding nice pallets and using them to build furniture but the problem is always spending a bunch of time taking pallets apart without destroying the wood. The pallet buster is a time saver for sure!! It’s heavy, sturdy, and durable and makes taking pallets apart easier than asking for a raise. Unfortunately the crowbar that come with it is a little flimsy but it’s free so who cares. Here’s a picture of a table I built for podcasting.

Pallet buster
I ordered this about a month ago but hadn't had a chance to use it because of the cold and snow! Finally gave it a try yesterday. It works well. For some stubborn nails it broke the board instead of pulling the nails out but that's probably the quality of wood. I only have it 4 stars because of the weight of the pallet buster. That by far is my biggest issue as it is so heavy. Customer service is great. They did check to see if we received our order which I thought was awesome.

Excellent value. Compared to the Vestil model that this ...
Excellent value. Compared to the Vestil model that this is obviously based on, the pry arms (where the pivoting feet mount) are made of thinner gauge steel; however, they are sturdy enough for the intended purpose... and you can't expect everything, this is 20 USD cheaper than the Vestil and comes with a prybar to boot. I've torn down appx 40 pallets so far and haven't observed any significant wear & tear yet. Pry bar is cheap and doesn't seem tempered (very soft/malleable).Overall, I'm very glad I went with this model over competitors. I will update review if product fails.

Extremely strong and we'll made
Seriously heavy duty. I wish the pallets we're super easy to bust, but that's never going to happen. This did break several of the pieces, but mainly the more rotted slabs that weren't the best to begin with. I'm sure the more I use it, the more proficient I will become. It is definitely what you pay for though if not more.
