Excellent for maintaining electrolytes, at least for me.
I have been using this product for years. Recently I had some GI surgery and the surgeon recommended that I drink plenty of water and use Liquid IV. She was surprised to hear that I already use it.My electrolytes are always good despite drinking 2-3 liters of water a day along with Black Tea.

Essential
My husband started working 10 hour shifts this year. He came home so stopped it he could barely function. I had some Liquid IV that I started adding to his work water jug. Immediately, he started feeling better so I keep this on hand for him. He mixes it with other flavored drinks and is diabetic, so I am careful to choose sugar-free flavors that combine well weigh those. He loves it! I love that he feels better when he returns home from work.

Has a dangerous synthetic vitamin B!
Initially I really loved this electrolyte mix: flavor was very good, dissolved easily. I was drinking close to a gallon a day, sipping on it throughout the day. But I just learned that the Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) is a synthetic vitamin B. It's listed in the ingredient section on the outer box. Now I am not a fan of synthetic vitamins and try to take the best and most bioavailable vitamins and minerals I can. Years ago when I started to learn about the difference between natural-source vitamins and minerals and synthetic, the body is not able to make much use of synthetics because it doesn't recognize the "laboratory" blend. Because the body can't absorb synthetics very well, I saw a lot of pills going down the toilet. But this Liquid IV product takes the cake for utilization of this synthetic B12. The prefix of the name, CYANO cobalamin means that it actually has CYANIDE in it! Yes, they actually throw in a cyanide molecule when they manufacture this synthetic B12, because it is much cheaper to make rather than using a natural source B12.Now I researched this vitamin, and you'll see that it is approved by the FDA, (so is rat poison) and is described in different articles as 'generally considered safe'. But as you read further, there is a significant list of side affects, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.Makes sense to me that there would be physical side effects. Our bodies were not made to ingest cyanide.I also learned that most vitamin B12 shots use this synthetic B12 with cyanide. So beware! If you are in need of B12 supplementation, and a lot folks are, please read your vitamin label or ask your doctor, and stay away from this electrolyte product. The METHYLcobalamin B12 is the natural form.
