Transformers: Generations Power of the Primes Voyager Class Grimlock

Grimlock values strength and power over wisdom and compassion, willing accepts casualties and doesn't seem concerned with collateral damage. His strategy is usually to hack, slash, or tear his opponents apart. This combined with his dislike of Optimus Prime, and his not getting along with most Autobots other than the Dinbots, have lead many Autobots to wonder if the Dinobot leader is on their side.What they do not realize is that Grimlock hates those that use their strength, and actually respects Prime for his strength and leadership.This figure is such a throwback to the 1980's design and I love it. He has the size and the look that just screams Grimlock. He is so simple to transform from a robot to a Tyrannosaurus Rex and to the head and torso of Volcanus, the Dinobot's combined form. I wish he came with a sword or a weapon or something, to use as Grimlock or as Volcanus, but honestly, I do not really like the combined form.This is a great figure.

Daughter loves this - very happy with purchase! 8 year old asked for this a transformer for Christmas. This seemed a reasonable price and is a good size as well. she plays with it often.

Bought as a gift for my nephew and he loves it

A solid figure of a character I never could get enough of. My son and I will enjoy the combined mode especially if a third party company can tool some “filler” pieces to broaden the torsos bulk.CONS:-I do wish this figure were at a leader scale and a big detriment is the LACK OF WEAPONS! I have some from a knock off figure that compliment the figure greatly but this shouldn’t have been the case at all.- I appreciate the clear plastic shell covering the gold details but wish there were more paint details or at least more decals that harken to the G1 figure it is trying to portray.-The feet need to be wider for the combined mode and will probably be junked.( but they can make for a good buckler shield)Pros:-Many of the most important joints are tightly ratcheted which is a plus for stability.-great sculpt-easy transformation into all three modes.Highly recommended figure which will most likely bring more satisfaction to collectors with more scrutiny once third party developers enhance this base figure. But for now a great robot for Grimlock fans and their children.

It’s just great

I really dig this reimagining of the G1 Grimlock. I do wish the tail were a little more tapered on towards the end and I wish the chest didn't separate, but I understand why they did it. Mostly. This grimlock is indeed King and definitely the best of the re-imaginings I've seen in recent years (in my humble opinion). I can't wait for Sludge and Snarl to be released. A few joints are stiff, so you have to be sure to read the manual to ensure you're moving a part that is meant to be moved (even if you're sure based on hinge presence, etc). Awesome and faithfully updated dinobot. Love him.

For $24 can’t go wrong. Nice action figure. These hasbro transformers are good quality. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I am pretty disappointed in this figure. Yeah, Grimlock is cool and all, but this figure leaves a lot to be desired. The top half of it looks pretty good, but the bottom is just ridiculous in both modes. In Robot mode, the legs are just awkward; they're too skinny at the tops, and the bottom is just oddly shaped. But the definite worst part of it is the Dinosaur mode. The "tail" is absolutely ridiculous. It's like the designer just phoned it in on it. It doesn't resemble a tail, and it is way too big. I realize that there are limitations, but come on. The older generation Grimlocks didn't have such a stupid looking tail, so why does this one?
