No use. Driver doesn't install on Windows 7 at all. On XP it installs, but not like the instructions say. The CD has multiple drivers on it, and you have to search through half a dozen other folders before guessing which is the right one. I bought because being more expensive than the five quid adaptors, I expected it perhaps just work with Sony cameras. But I don't get anything out of them with this connected, zilch. I can't rule out that it's me, but since it won't even install on Windows 7, I can't try my second PC, and it's academic since it has to be able to run on here.

As with all Startech products, this unit is excellent quality. It just works, simple as that.

Perfectly suited for RS422 communication. Reliable, fast and simple to set up. Use this device in multiple locations and have no issues with it.

Does exactly what you'd expect it to do. Nothing special; well built, affordable, and adequate length for what I needed it for.
