Inspiring, entertaining and moving
I absolutely loved the book! Though it turned out to be a little early for my 9-year old to appreciate the book, I finished it almost in one sitting and was entertained and moved, as were the friends I lent it to. The book treats Nanju's disability perfectly - not as a tragedy, but not papering over the challenges either. It's filled with loveable, interesting characters - white and grey. The book actually inspired me to accept a challenging volunteering opportunity I was in two minds about, so thanks, Zainab.

" Why worry about tomorrow when today was so wonderful..
" Why worry about tomorrow when today was so wonderful..." - Nanjegowdra (Nanju)'Simply Nanju' is a heart touching story. It's simple, easy to understand and the concept is quite different from other books. It has everything in it ... it's a mixture of all the elements, comedy, drama, action , mystery, suspense... everything. It's a nice story... something that we can relate to . One thing that I found missing in this book due to witch it makes it a four star for me is that in the beginning the matter isn't plotted in such a way that grasps or absorbs you, something is missing that thing that instills that read- it- till - the - end - no - matter - what - attitude, that pushes you into the deep pit called ' book ' and you just want to be in it... otherwise the book ... the story... characters... plot... dialogues... it's just amazing 😉!

Took me back to my childhood days
Nanju and his friends are funny, real, and hugely entertaining. Set up in a school for differently abled and underpriveleged children, it opens up a whole new world for the readers, who soon discover that this world, despite the odd wheel-chair or the missing socks, is not so different from her world after all. This book has a curious, understated energy and an universal appeal which will attract readers across a large spectrum of age groups. It took me right back to my school days.

A Short Book centred around Kids with special abilities..Story revolves around Nanju, his school & a sudden mystery which is resolved wonderfully.A little more empathy for the characters would have added more soul to the story.Liked how the author didn't preach but yet put across her intents well !

A great read for kids and adults as well!
Bought the book for my 8 year old as I wanted her to understand the world of differently-abled and underpriveleged children. I loved the discussions we had after she read the book. And it's a good read for adults as well. The author brings out the miseries these children face in daily life in a very comical way without sounding tragic - that's perfect for kids.
