King of the world
Very small, only A4, cannot really see it so have to be up close. Did want a bigger one.

Fine. A3 size . Not a big poster.
Arrived on time. Note it is A3 size . Quite small for a poster but the info is fine as an overview.

Kings & Queens Timeline Poster - A3
Kings & Queens Timeline Poster - A3 is a good poster but would be better if it had been printed using thicker paper.

Does the job
Clear & concise, & there is a wealth of information, including a timeline & a key to the various symbols. The font is fairly small, that is inevitable considering the compact size tho.

Would have been a great poster if A2 (and if posted in fit-for-purpose packaging)
This is a great poster, with lots of useful info, really well laid out. The background is nice, the different fonts are well thought out, there are other nice touches like the coats of arms down the left hand side, the addition of white and red roses, images of some of the monarchs. The timeline down the left hand side adds some interesting context, which probably improves it as an educational piece, but perhaps makes the poster less visually appealing (a bit too "busy") if you simply wanted to put it up as more of a display piece.However....this is all let down by the fact that this poster is clearly designed to be an A2 size poster (and is actually available elsewhere in A2 size). On A3 it is just too small to be easily readable as a wall poster. On A3, the "normal text" font characters are about 1 mm tall or less. From what I could see, there are only 2 commonly available, nice-looking (non-cheesy) wall posters of the English monarchy family tree. This one from Westair and the Bob Mealing one published by Pitkin/The History Press. I haven't seen the Bob Mealing one close up, but it doesn't look it has quite the amount of info or detail that this one has... it doesn't have the additional nice touches such as the images, the key, the roses or the additional info on left hand side (which some may think is better), however it is is more readily available in an A2 size. If you want more of a plain and simple family tree, the Bob Mealing one would possibly be a better choice. Also, a word of hopefully helpful warning to potential purchasers: My poster (ordered from seller called Blyme) was sent out in packaging completely unsuitable for a rolled-up poster. The poster was rolled, but then posted out inside a flat squashable cardboard box... with entirely predictable result that it arrived squashed, creased and needing to be returned. From the reviews, it looks like many people are experiencing the same problem.

Squashed flat and thus permanently creased
This item is quite good but spoilt by the fact that it was squashed flat and now has creases which I cannot remove. It really needs to be rolled and packaged in a small tube to keep it in good condition.

Perfect
I bought the Kings & Queens Timeline Poster for myself as I have developed an interest in the history of the British Monarchy through reading a lot of Shakeapeare recently - I wanted to read about the real Henry IV. This is the first time I have been able to study the 'Family Tree' all in one go, usually it has been spread over various pages in a book, or with print too tiny to read! This poster is perfect. The paper it is printed on is good quality too, so it doesn't crease easily when handling it. As well as the family tree, there is a section down the side about historical events. I think it is perfect for children and adults alike. And now I can bore my family rigid, with 'oh, did you know...'
