Great color, interesting smell
I bought this for cocktail creation purposes, and it definitely made my drinks black. However I could not give it 5 stars because 1) it left an oily sheen on top of the drinks, and 2) it smelled a little too… musky. I bartend in a gentlemen’s club and was not sure that was the best choice. Be warned.

Doesn’t stain skin
Does not stain skin and of course, it smells awful. This may be a cool ingredient to make foods black but it doesn’t work for my intended purpose.

Squid ink for paella
We plan to make a paella Negra for next friends gathering but we have to make it perfect so we can cook it at our friends house. I believe 1 packet will definitely use for paella Negra. If you're going to eat outside it will cost you $45 or more in the restaurant with less seafood on it. We like to ourselves with plenty of seafood.
