Ok so bear with me on this. I recently bought a new car, and the rear lights obviously had some sort of spray tint on them. Now for some reason which I can’t fathom, some clown tried to remove the tint at some point with sand paper and made a right mess of them. (See first 3 photos) so after a little reading and research I decided to give them a sanding and polishing, but in the right way which is why I bought this item. I did order some finer grit sand paper and some cutting polish so the results wasn’t just with what came in the box. However I am very pleased with the outcome and how easy it was to use. (See last 3 photos) The Velcro sticking pad is very strong and I had no slippage or problems with using it. Although it is rather loud (which I would expect really) it’s not ear splitting. The grip is very comfortable to use even with my ridiculously large hands, it has quite a long power cord which is useful and has good variable speed control. Now I have only used this on car lights as of yet so I can’t comment on how useful the dust catching bit is, but a very good product that feels sturdy well made and very reasonable value. Be careful. I purchased this sander thinking it was going to be a good deal. When the product arrived the sanding disks were missing and worse, the sander it self had clearly been used and was still dirty/dusty. There was still residual dust in the trap box. Even if it was a refurbished item they didn't bother to clean it. To check it further I plugged it in and switch it on. It had no sanding power. The disk barely rotated and kept stopping everytime pressure was applied to it. I can’t rate it as a zero so I've chosen one-star but that's being generous. Atrocious quality control. Sending it back for a refund.Update:I was contacted the seller to apologise, and they offered to send a new device, which I accepted - I still have plenty of sanding to do. The new device arrived---this time fully sealed in a cellophane wrap---a better sign that the device was new (the last one came in its own box inside an Amazon box. I have not used it properly yet, but I have plugged it in and switched it on. Everything seems to be in working order - it turns, adjusts speed and still rotates when pressure is applied. Some sanding disks are included this time. The device fits in my hand well, isn't too heavy, does not cause too much vibration and is easy to control. The dust collection seems to work, and the cord is long enough to suit most jobs. Looking forward to sanding this weekend (assuming it remains dry...).Update 2:The seller offered me a refund for the inconvenience caused, which is good customer service and much appreciated. I have since used the sander to do my back fence and can confirm that it works well. The variable speed feature is nice and works as expected, with a good spread between the six-speed options, and the unit is easy to hold for long periods. The cord is very long, which is good, and using the unit doesn't cause as much vibration fatigue as I thought it would (I would still recommend taking regular breaks to allow the unit to cool down). Dust collection works as well as expected, but you still get lots of dust kicked up by the disk. This is normal for this style of sander, but I think you can attach a vacuum connection to suck the dust away (I will try this next weekend). Overall, this product provides good value for money and works well for power and price.

This product is well-suited for our requirements and includes an ample number of sheets. It operates quietly, is lightweight, and is user-friendly.

It did a very good job on polishing some concrete I have wanting one of these for a long time it seems

Powerful, comfortable, a little unbalanced but works well ...until the velcro fluffs up the back of the sanding disc and it loses all grip and falls off.I'm getting through discs like there's no tomorrow, all of them for the bin because the fuzzy backing gets fluffed until all the loops are gone whilst the sandpaper is still good. I'll give it a little longer, try a few other brands of disc and then they can have it back.

I honestly wasn't expecting much from this product but had a need for something to get through a single (1) job and didn't wish to splurge too much cash on it.Not only did this sander smash through the job (sanding a badly water damaged and neglected wooden outer door from initial coarse work to a fine, smooth finish ready for oiling... it did it so well that I started looking for other jobs to kill it off with.I've now sanded 4 badly water damaged outer doors, two inside doors and it's only just starting to sound tired when running for more than a minute or two. I can only imagine I pushed well beyond a reasonable up-time with no break other than to change pads when doing the work.After the last cheap sander I bought, I honestly wasn't sure it would make it through the first job. Pleasantly surprised. If you have small to medium domestic sanding work to do, this bit of kit isn't a bad choice. Would probably last a decent while if you use it with a bit of respect and give it some time to cool off at reasonable intervals.
