Very useful piece of equipment
I was looking to use my blueray player as a makeshift cd player by linking it to a pair of active speakers. The optical to audio converter allowed me to do this easily.

You will need a 5volt usb supply
This item was used to provide an optical out tv signal.The RCA leads (sockets) was connected to 2 x RCA leads (plugs) which was then terminated with a 3.5mm jack socket.This was connected to my pc speakers with sub-woofer. Will purchase a soundbar at a later date.

Not very good
It has lasted less than 6 months pretty rubbish really so I would conclude not very good quality skip it and find another.

No idea if it works
No idea if it works, no light comes on on the black box but there is a red a light that comes from the optic cable

Useless
The media could not be loaded. When connected to my smart TV and using Spotify it works perfectly with no issues. I go to Disney plus or Netflix and I get this horrible noise. Makes no sense why it works for one app and not another. Useless
