Easy to read, great illustrations, callouts for certification exam topics - an exceptional book!

It looks like a great book but on opening it I found that all of the content is written for the USA market and in Feet and inches. That means that all of the exercises an the Revit parameters described are in imperial measurements. Whereas the rest of the world uses metric.This means that you will be continually trying to convert to metric. This will however give you a 'soft metric' conversion not the building industry standard sizes for metric.i.e add a 36" by 80"door = soft metric 914.4mm x 2032mm.The basis of the training excercises are very good BUT if you use metric and dont want to be frustrated then probably not a very good purchase.Its also annoying that Amazon dont make it clear in their descriptions that the content is in feet and inches.

Excellent book for setting up the REVIT environment. Very complete overview of the IDE/Interface with BIM. Many good videos supplied with purchase of the book. Easy access to the videos. NOTE, that REVIT requires a tremendous amount of processing power. I am still working through the textbook, and making good progress. If any single book could give a good initial understanding of REVIT, this seems to be a great choice. There are limitations to what the book covers, and you should read that disclaimer before investing in it.
