 This is not a Garrett ProPointer but definitely well worth the price of $39.99 with shipping. I had several people asking me on my metal detecting group how these Chinese pinpointers held up compared to a Garrett and they are actually pretty well-built and performs about the same as the Garrett pro pointer. One main difference I noted was the Garrett has a louder tone which is more progressive as objects get closer this one is a quieter tone that will speed up a little bit as a product touches it. One advantage of this model is that it has a clip and it is attached to the pinpointer and you can attach it to your belt where the Garrett does not have one. One thing to remember is this orange one looks like the Garrett ProPointer AT which is waterproof and this one is not waterproof it is only water resistant like the original Garrett original Pro-Pointer. You can use this in water but you do not want to go any higher than the bottom of the speaker or you can put it under running water you just need to put your thumb over the speaker hoe to keep water out of the unit.

See most of the diggers using this on YouTube. Tried it out just in the backyard. Works great! It's loud enough. Doesn't come with 9 VOLT battery.

So many other uses. Super handy treasure hunting, but it's the best stud finder I've ever used. Drop a small nut or spring in the grass and find it quick. The local sheriffs department uses a similar model as a hand held security scanner. If you forget which hip you had replaced this thing will figure it out without having to look for the scar.

If you want to get into the metal detecting world but do not sure which detector is good for you, I would like to recommend you this pinpointer. It is small but very accurate, which is much cheaper than garrett. I am a new detectorist and hope find gold coin like the picture attached;)

I bought 5 pieces for my hunter friends, they like it very much. Highly recommend and it is a reliable pin-pointer and works totally as described !!

received the item last Thursday and used this Saturday, this is a very nice pointer and it worked great...i know it isn't waterproof so i obviously didn't submerge it but it was raining when i was out and i had absolutely no problems with it like i said it worked great and i found everything i had dug up quarter , pennies 1 wheat penny 1953 a dime and ....beer cans , broken spoon....and on and on...anyway it is definitely worth the money and i had a great time doing it.

This is a great pinpointer! I'm pleasantly surprized. It's very durable and works like a charm. Totally worth trying out for yourself, especially for the price. The first day in my backyard messing around with it I found the stuff in the pic. Happy hunting!
