Missing screws

The finish is pretty and I like its look without showing the screws. Just being a little picky as a designer, the color tone is different between the outlet and the cover.

For older homes need tender loving care and lots of updating. Checking to get the right plug is the right thing to do. If you don’t check on your plugs it can turn black dust around the frame

Easy to install and look great

This is a great deal for a set of decorator style outlets with screwless plate covers included. The outlets are comparable to what I'd find in the hardware store and seem to have all the proper certifications. The instructions are easy to follow, and you have everything you need for the install.The outlet covers are the screwless style which have a snap-on cover that goes over a clear panel that screws in to the outlet. I prefer the outlet covers that have a full panel attached to the outlet because they feel more secure, but the ones that come in the set with a partial panel works well enough for the price. Just make sure you read the wording on the clear panel to install it correctly.

I was replacing several of the 2-prong wall outlets in an old house built in the 40ties with these plugs and GFC I's. While I found the outlet to be fine, I can't stand the supplied wall plates. They are the screwless kind, and nothing about them works easily. The inner plate is flimsy, and the supplied screws are just long enough to be too short.Just get the outlets and pass on these wall plates.

As cheap as Home Depot. About same quality. You’ll note some discoloration in the photos, but that isn’t really visible with the naked eye.I needed to update the electrical wires running to several rooms. Upgrading to 2 gang / 4 sockets turned out be the cheapest option for staying code compliment. Code requires a Romex wire be attached to the stud within certain distance from box.A larger 2 gang hole permits you to reach into wall and staple wire to stud vs making a larger opening in the wall to install both box and secure wiring. Second option (larger access holes) requires expense of paint, mud, texturing etc in order to repair wall.
