I was surprised of the authenticity of the 2 birds movements and chirping,but my cat wasn't fooled, though she was interested and occasionally stares at them.

Welcome to the 1-star reviews… where you’re guaranteed honesty. This is just another piece of plastic electronic crap courtesy of AmazonChina, Inc. Rented the blue+red one. (Rented because lately everything like this arrives non-functioning and goes right back.) Blue bird doesn’t work out of the box. Won’t even stay on the branch. Noise level is extremely high and annoying - with no way to turn down the volume. Movements are also very loud. If buying for your cat, the earsplitting sound will scare them away. Obviously, I wouldn’t recommend it.

I bought this for my 75 year old mother who loves birds. Personally, I find it a little annoying because it goes off too often for my liking. Its motion sensors but mostly goes off with loud sounds or if you touch it. She absolutely loves it and named it tweety bird lol the chirping brings her joy. It sounds realistic and is a good gift for a bird lover, child or someone who loves to hear birds chirping.
