This is GREAT! Do not cheap out on mic arms!
I first bought a crane style mic arm, the ones that are over the top. It was a cheap $18 one and it was so cheaply made that it wouldn't be worth it even if it was $5. I quickly returned that and decided to search for a different style of mic arm, so decided the 'low profile' style was the best as it's out of the way and it doesn't block your view in anyway. I originally was going to buy the $99.99 Elgato low profile mic arm but the price seemed too high. So decided on this XTech mic arm that was on sale at the time for $69.90. The quality is fantastic! The movement is pretty smooth, it holds up my mic (q2u) fine and the cable management is a huge plus! The small screws that keep the arm pipe sections in place are VERY small, so be very careful if you are trying to get them out. If they slip out of your hand, they will be very hard to find on the floor! (It happened to me and it took me a good 5 minutes to find it!) The mic holder part swivels and can basically be placed in any direction that you want. The mic arm in general can go in any direction. Both sections of the mic arm can swivel 360 degrees, the 'top' part can go up and down too by the way. I give this a 5/5, but I will say and this shouldn't really deter you from buying this because it is a great mic arm that will last years, but I truly wouldn't pay the base price of $99.90 for this. It's great, but at the end of the day it's just a mic arm. Again, I bought it on sale when it was $69.90 and even that was a lot of money! The market for mic arms is really strange; if you cheap out and buy something that's less than $30, you really get the worst trash imaginable, but if you spend between $70-120, you get an amazing mic arm. It's just weird.

Solid boom arm - does the job well
Got this for my Blue Yeti and it's been great for the price. The white looks clean on my desk and the low profile design doesn't get in the way of my monitor like taller arms do. Build quality is decent - joints hold position well once tightened properly. The built-in cable channels keep the USB cable tidy, though they're a bit tight for thicker XLR cables if you ever upgrade. The 360° rotation is smooth and it reaches everywhere I need it to.

The Only Thing More Solid Is Their Customer Service!
I purchased the IXTECH Mic Arm Desk Mount back in August and mounted a Heil PR40 using the desk mount. That's a heavy mic, and the boom arm held perfectly solid. I love this product. It floats my mic over my mixer counsel and places it directly in front without rearranging my desk. NO SPRINGS to cause unwanted noise like older/cheaper booms. I just bought a second one in case it becomes hard to find. I might need another one in the future, and don't want to take any changes. That's how much I love this product. Customer Service: Last month, I upgraded my PR40 mic to a Shure SM7B. Not paying attention to how the plastic cable covers were attached, I broke the tabs. It is probably the only weak spot of the entire arm; it was still my fault. I prayed on it when I should have slid it out. I emailed IXTECH support to see if I could purchase new covers separately, explaining that it was my fault and that I would happily pay for new ones. Less than a week later, two new covers came in the mail—NO CHARGE. That kind of support is hard to come by these days and played a factor in my purchase of a second arm. The IXTECH Mic Arm accepted the new mic and is as solid as the day I bought it. It functions perfectly, and the desk attachment has never needed tightening. I get compliments on how professional it looks in my videos.

Solid boom - better than Elgato LP arm
I bought both this and the Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP to compare. I ended up keeping this one. Things to note: - This one looks better than the Elgato. The Elgato arm has the cord run along the TOP of the arm -- WHY? When you could just as easily run it on the bottom and keep it hidden from view. This one looks way better because it doesn't have cable holes running along the top of both arms. The only thing is the plastic cover that slides on the bottom to remove it, is the little plastic pieces aren't very solid; one of mine might have come broken (not sure), but I superglued it and it's fine. But if one breaks it will still stay on. - The Elgato has a better clamp and a better ball connector. The clamp's underside should ideally be a heavy metal plate, straight and flush against the vertical side that goes against the edge of the desk; this prevents wobbling and twisting. The Elgato has this, and IMO it's the perfect clamp: it's sturdy and doesn't budge no matter how I move the arm. This clamp is good, but it's round on the bottom, so if you pull up on the arm, for example, and it's kind of tight, you might notice the clamp tilt or budge slightly (yes, tightened down very tight without digging into the wood). I actually got that clamp and this arm working together, but didn't love that in the long run. Also, the ball connector for the Elgato has a better grip and a bigger screw plate so it's easier to access. I ended up ordering just the ball connector from Elgato for like $10 and successfully use it with this arm -- best of both worlds! - The Elgato arm doesn't have a fold-down accessory holder, that is nice; but I put mine on the back of my desk so it's pointless for me. Oh well, it's optional and unclips easily. Honestly, quite impressed from a random Chinese brand. Wish it was a little cheaper since it's not a name brand, but it looks better than the name brand IMO.

The IXTECH LIZARD model mic arm impresses with its sturdy build, sleek design, and 360° swivel for excellent adjustability. The built-in cable management system keeps your setup tidy, and the detachable rise column adds flexibility. It's easy to install and holds even heavier microphones securely without sagging. While it's slightly pricier than basic models, the quality and functionality make it a worthwhile investment for streamers and recording artists. Highly recommended for those needing a reliable and professional-grade mic arm.

Davvero soddisfatto dell’acquisto – consigliatissimo a streamer e podcaster.
