I rated softness a four only because straight out of the package they are not necessarily soft. However I washed them with fabric softener and now they are perfect. I almost returned them because of that however my daughter said to just wash them with fabric softener they will be fine. These are the best. For whatever you choose to use them for. Nice size. Even after a wash. Softness stays the same so does the colors. Breathable fabric. A good blanket all around

These are so great and for a fraction of the price of others. They are very large and soft. We love them. The patterns are super cute as well. This is pretty much the only blanket we swaddle in - everything else I bought is way to small to truly swaddle.

I was super exclusive once upon a time. I only bought aden and anais because I thought it was the best. This was to be my fourth baby with that brand, so I have purchased many muslin swaddle blankets. My mil gifted me some from Walmart’s brand-they are terrible. I told you that so I could establish being an expert level muslin blanket user and aden/anais fan. I only tried these because I was so smitten with these particular designs. A/a had some similar, but these designs were bolder and matched this baby’s theme perfectly. Plus for the price, I thought what the heck? I was so pleasantly surprised!! Give them a few washes before you use them and you won’t regret it. I use swaddlers for everything-burp clothes, covers, swaddling, capes for older siblings—and these are awesome. The colors are still vibrant and they are getting softer still. You won’t regret taking a chance!!

Came well packaged and delivered in time. Also had a surprise insert that said a donation wad made to St Judes Children's Hospital. The blankets are really big and lightweight. There are many colors and patterns to choose from, too! Great for use as a swaddle for the summer! It's really large so you can really tuck baby in snuggly! I also use it to put on our bed so the little one can lay down when we have some play time in the morning before going to the living room. Loved this so much I also ordered a pack as part of a gift for my husband's cousin who also just gave birth!

When I first received these around Christmas time (2019) I wasn't too crazy about how they felt. I thought they felt a little rough, decided to keep and use anyway as I really only wanted them for light cover ups when breastfeeding away from home.
