Works great, cheaper than Leviton dimmers
I got this out of desperation after my Schlage lock didn’t pair with my Wink hub. As a repeater, I figured it should strengthen the signal between the hub and the lock, enabling all the Wink functionality. Unfortunately, or rather very fortunately, I’ve not had a chance to check the repeater function because the Wink hub and lock started working well after a couple of hours (It’s important to have the hub just a few feet from the lock during the initial pairing. After that, you can move the hub away.)As a lamp dimmer, this works well, and at $20 is about half the price of a Leviton. One irksome issue was that the instructions gave no information on how to put the dimmer into pairing mode. Here’s how I got it paired with Wink:- Put the Wink hub into the “include” mode- Push the dimmer’s button 2 times- Wait for the Wink hub light to turn blue againThe dimmer paired as a generic light bulb.

Cheap and excellent.
Works great with SmartThings. Wasn't difficult to pair, just have to double press the button on the unit a few times and it finds it. It has a very nice dimmer range, and fades on and off the light by default. It makes no noise, and has a 3 prong pass through outlet. The dimmed outlet is two prong, and it requires a 3 prong grounded outlet. It is a little bigger than I thought it would be but it works well and its price and can't be beat at only 20 dollars. It also seems to be a great ZWave repeater.UPDATE 9/5/17: lowered to three stars as it has started to become somewhat unresponsive after a couple years of use. I have to hit the button on the unit a couple times to get it to connect with smart things again.

Pairs well with SmartThings
Nice unit, fairly compact and has an on//off button built in. Has a z-wave enabled outlet and a standard pass through, unit says 300w max on it. Paired easily with SmartThings. At the $17 price I would buy again if needed though power tracking and usage would be a nice additional feature that this unit does NOT have.

Fine as repeater and for two prong plugs
Bought this as a repeater rather than a dimmer module. But plugged it into a garage light just because it was out there. Connected easily to my SmartThings hub, and has worked fine as a repeater so I can reliably control my outdoor pool equipment. There was one unexpected issue, and hence the knock in the star, is that all the pictures show a three pronged plug. As I determined (and the accompanying instructions confirm), the three prong plug is pass through only. There is another two prong plug that is controlled. So if you have a three prong device you need to plug in (like I did), either ground per code, or move on. Perhaps they sent me the wrong model? If not, the advertising seems misleading. If you have a two prong device, this issue will not matter to you.

... of these and they all seem to work just fine with my Vera Lite controller
Purchased a few of these and they all seem to work just fine with my Vera Lite controller. They work OK with regular incandescent and also with dimmable LEDs. They paired OK with the controller and have been functioning properly as part of scenes. They also work OK with the GE hand-held remote controller. Great price compared to the GE brand, for the same identical device!

Dead after a few years
Dead after a couple years. Worked great for the first few. Now it doesn’t work with SmartThings. I tried unpairing and re-pairing. Doesn’t work. Save your money. Don’t buy Schlage.

stops communicating after a few days of inactivity
My openzwave controller recognizes is at as a GE dimmer (which is more expensive here on Amazon). It was activated on my network fine, but later started having stability problems. I eventually traced the problem back to this dimmer. I discovered that after a few days, it just seems to shut itself off and acts like a dead node. When I went to remove it from the network, the button caused no response with my zwave controller. I had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to communicate again. I suspect that this is the problem with my network stability. I don't yet know if this is a lemon, or a problem with the device. I got this node primarily to have a secure communication between my controller and a door lock. No dice.

Decent product
I'm happy with the fact that the product works as expected. The price was fair, especially since, when I received it, seems like it was a used product. It was dirty looking, almost like oil or something had soaked into the white casing. I attempted to clean it, but it would not come off at all. I was close to returning it solely on that, however it has been working quite well since I've had it, so for the price paid, I've decided to hang onto it and hope it continues to work for years to come. *fingers crossed*
