Magic: The Gathering 2023 Starter Kit - Learn to Play with 2 Ready-to-Play Decks + 2 Codes to Play Online (2-Player Fantasy Card Game)

For the low price, these two decks are actually really fun to play. I've won 6 games so far out of 10 total with my friends, and I haven't even played in 16 years. Good cards, no damage to them at all, and a steal for their value.

Great way to either learn of restart playing the game after years.

That said, these two deck sets are always worth buying. The decks play well against each other and come with a good selection of rare, uncommon, and staple common cards as well as basic lands. There are two codes, one for each player. These unlock both decks on Magic Arena, the best place to learn how to play Magic. Local game stores are good places to learn, too, and other players may donate cards to help new players out. These decks can easily be upgraded to do well at game stores, too.

The set is well built and put together and the decks are complete and work for a beginner experience. The booklet and reference cards that come with the kit do a good job of explaining the main mechanics of the game to get started playing with minimum learning. One problem is that the material doesn't at all explain things like 'Reach' or 'Flying' or 'Haste' so the kids I bought the deck for ended up playing without understanding the abilities of the creatures and not using them. It wasn't even clear that the words meant abilities. The kit doesn't explain counters very well either. I think it would be add a note about how to use counters.

got these as a gift for my nephew and he was so excited. he even got a are card that he'd been looking for. the quality was super and they arrived on time which was important to me as they were a birthday gift. I will buy more from this seller again once the time comes.

Decided to finally try out MTG and this was a great kit to start with. If you're new, start with Arena, the online multiplayer game since it makes the mechanics way easier to understand. I wasted too much time Googling and watching YouTube to understand all the things in this deck. But once you got it down from playing the videogame, these decks are way more fun. I wish they included a cheat sheet of what all the terms mean like reach, haste, trample, etc since a new player has no clue what all this does and a simple card with the 10 most common terms defined would have been so helpful. Again, play Arena first, since you can just hover your cursor over anything you don't know for a popup explanation, then the physical decks like these are more fun quicker.

Great starter pack for a dnd gamer

Beide Decks sind sehr vergleichbar. In Summe für den Einstieg echt zu empfehlen. Alle nötigen Regeln sind da und die Decks sind auch grundsätzlich etwas fordernd. Es wird also auch nicht schnell langweilig.

Muy guapo, los mazos bastante desbalanceados pero es una forma chula para empezar.

Was pleasantly surprised how strong these decks are for the money, great cards with some mixed lands which are cool. Great value and lots of fun. The decks are evenly matched. Blue/Red & White/Green.
