Stable little computer
I needed to replace my old Linux dev box with a system that would take up less space. This one fit the bill, and it's working very well. Upon receipt, I wiped Windows 11 off it and installed Ubuntu 24.04. Plugged in an external disk for extra space. NOTE: If using an external disk, make note of the port you plug it into. Not all USB ports are high speed. I'm using the leftmost connector (furthest away from the power connector), and am getting the disk's expected speed (5Gbps).👍 for this system!

RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY!!
RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY!!, do not rely solely on the Amazon specs page or reviews. I have the EQ13 and have been using it as a backup for my main desktop since purchase, so it has been plugged in and running 24/7 for almost four months. Also using box as a Serviio front end (front-end only, files are located on a separate main server) steaming music probably 50-75% of the time. Performance and loading are ’normal’ for what I would expect. No issues to date. Excellent purchase for MY intended use. Prior to purchase read many of he Amazon reviews, both good and bad, and decided to take a chance. No regrets at this point. Again, RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY!!, make sure that the model you purchase has the specs to do the task you intend. There are A LOT of different BeeLink models out there.

Great little computer!
The mini computer arrived quickly and worked without any issues. It came with Windows but I needed them to use Ubuntu 24 Linux. I had no problem loading the new OS. Warning: older versions of Ubuntu will not see the WiFi interface. You need Linux kernel version 6 or greater.

A basic computer that handles simple tasks quite well
I mounted this mini computer on my TV to handle simple tasks like email, video chatting, and smart home management. Compared to the top-of-the-line, same generation, Intel processor in my laptop, it's much slower and less responsive, but considering its price, functionality and small size, it's a great fit. Key features are good port availability, quiet performance, and value. The SSD can be upgraded, but unfortunately you'll be stuck with 16 Gb of RAM.I set up my own Windows account and one other local Admin account to allow my wife to access Outlook under her own credentials. This turned out to be a good ideal. Like most Windows systems, it requires immediate updating. Its modest speed and memory made updating quite lengthy, requiring about a dozen restarts, many of them manual. It was taking so long and not letting me login between reboots, I almost decided it was defective and needed to go back.My perseverance was eventually rewarded. However it still "stuck" at my login window, probably due to some Windows 11 conflict. Fortunately, that second local Admin account allowed me to get in, delete the first Admin account and create another. I was then able to login to Microsoft for both users and finish setup. I can't blame Beelink for this issue and it might not be a problem for you. That said, play it safe by setting up a second local Admin account before you begin the updating process.

Target user: Nobody
I ordered this product based on the specifications; specifically, USB3 on all 4 ports, an m.2 slot, bluetooth, and dual 2.5Gb NICs, all of which I need.Immediately upon plugging it in, the headaches began.USB: Upon receipt, I cycled through all 4 USB ports (2 front USB-A, 1 rear USB-A, and 1 rear USB-C) with a known good cable on a tested device which requires full USB speed to function at full capacity (Google Coral TPU). I found that of the 4 ports and across several reboots with various cables connected/disconnected, only the front left port appears to operate at full USB 3.0 speeds, and even that intermittently. The other USB (2.0!) bus appears to drive the other 3 ports, as well as the internal Bluetooth transceivers.SATA: As a work-around, I attempted to install a SATA drive into the system, and install my m.2 Coral TPU instead, and my second round of headaches began. Upon reinstalling the OS for the second time, I noticed ata bus errors being thrown, and the SATA bus being limited to 3Gbps (it is normally 6Gbps). I rebooted into BIOS, and found the drive would only be detected about 50% of the time -- a big problem for a headless server as you would never know if 1) your system would come up properly, and 2) if your data was being written correctly. After searching the Beelink forums, I found another user ran into the problem, caused by unshielded SATA cable passing right next to the m.2 wifi/bluetooth adapter, corrupting the data, and he fixed it on his by using a Crucial SATA drive with better error correction. I dutifully ordered a Crucial SATA drive, and during installing my OS for the third time, I saw the same errors appearing, and upon reboot, it would not even start because data had become corrupted when writing the boot sector/EFI partition table. The above are insurmountable design flaws that even so-called "power users" cannot work around, let alone the target market of end users.I will need to keep hunting for a mini-server to replace my underpowered camera/hass system, as this is not the one.Avoid this defective system at all costs, regular users and "power users" alike, if you value your time and data.
