Chillr Cooling Mat, 45 x 90 cm, Large

I suffer from migraines an this helps me too cool down quickly an stay cool long enough to get some sleep. I have 2 already an looking to get a 3rd. They do retain the heat so having a couple you can for is a really good idea.

I confess, I bought this for myself, never mind my hound! We went for a summer holiday at peak heat season, and there's nothing that spoils my enjoyment of a sea-side holiday like not being able to sleep because of the FURNACE that is my bed. This worked a treat, although it's pretty heavy in the luggage. However, it does warm up eventually, and once it's warm, it retains that heat just as effectively as it absorbed it during the cooling phase. So do be prepared to evict it from the bed once that has happened. I suppose the cooling phase lasted something like 3 hours? Long enough for the outside world to have cooled to a reasonable temperature, anyway, so it absolutely did the trick. Resetting it wasn't difficult, in the fridge. (I wanted to use the sea, but didn't get the chance to test that.) There are clever divisions which separate the pockets of gel, so although you use up some sections, other sections remain solid and when you move, you find a new bit of coolth. And it makes it easy to fold up - fitted in hand luggage quite happily, although did I mention it's heavy? If only it had a nice cotton cover! I had thought of putting it under the sheet, but was glad I didn't because of the heating up phase. Instead I wrapped it in a big t shirt, like a weird 2D teddybear. The big one was smaller than I expected, but mainly because I was a bit of a dweebus and didn't actually look at the dimensions properly. It was fine for two people's shoulders, and perfect for just one, because I could sleep on one half, and then when that was 'used up', switched it around to the other half. One last thing: I also had the chance to see another brand: Snugglesafe, although not to sleep on it. The snugglesafe one was a lot smaller, so I'm not sure how equal this comparison is, but I definitely was happy with my Chillr - it seemed more effective, and the texture of the gel was less crunchy.

At first I though way too small, but my dogs body fits on it. He is using it, but I did cover it with pillow cases and a blanket as it has ridges that to me seem very uncomfortable. Dyson's happy though.

Bought this for my dog during the heatwave, it’s quite thin and firm then the hard bits inside turn to gel once they’ve absorbed your heat for a while .. the mat works but unfortunately the dog wouldn’t lie on it cause of the texture even when it was under a blanket

We run doggy day care and dog home boarding services and these cooling mats have been really useful. The dogs are more than happy to use them and they do help to keep the dogs comfortable in the heat. I would recommend these mats.

Works well, only thing i would say is that the granules start sliding towards the ends of the mat so the middle part gets warm very quickly. Ideally an extra row of pockets or smaller pockets would Work much better.
