This snake grabber arrived just in time for me. Prior to ordering this I had two rattlesnakes appear on my patio within 4 days of each other. The Fire Department removed them from my patio and “relocated” them to about 50 to 100 feet from my door. They are not allowed to take them away any farther. Six days later, which was yesterday, they both returned to the same exact locations as from where they’d been removed. One was at the threshold of my patio slider door and my grandson nearly stepped on it as he went out to my yard! This was frightening and I had had enough of protecting the creatures. It was all about my grandsons’ safety this time. Suffice it to say that I took the situation into my own hands, grabbed the snake grabber and this time they won’t be returning.Note: I’ve been using granules of a snake repellent for years just to keep snakes out of my back yard but these snakes seemed to love it. I’m trying cinnamon now at my gates so hopefully that will work. Snakes are good, just not in my back yard.

I live in the Rio Grande Valley, and a big produce area, with lots of snakes. Now I’m not afraid of snakes. Being from Oklahoma originally I’m used to them, but you have to know what to do and how to handle them. Now this is my second snake catcher. Had my other for several years and I actually broke it handling about a 7 foot rattlesnake. But I killed it so I had to order another. And I got the one with the longer reach this time! So I’m ready when my neighbors come and knocking that they’ve got a snake in their yard. They say go grab that old lady that can kill the snakes and I can do it. And some snakes I just removed because they’re good snakes, rattlers, moccasins, they stay away from me and they’re OK get close and the snake catcher does the job.

Works fine, however be careful with the handle lock. This piece is at the bottom of the handle and is meant to hold the handle locked once you grab the snake. It however can fold back on the handle and has a fairly sharp edge. The first time I used the device I was panicking because my dogs had found the snake and it was coiled up to strike. I grabbed the handle and squeezed it to hold the snake and the metal of the lock cut into my hand and I couldn’t let go because I was trying to hold the snake. The next time I was cautious of the lock and made sure it faced the right side. It worked as intended and safely held the snake while I removed it from the yard.

Bought it based on a recommendation from a Facebook group I follow. No assembly required, very easy to use. Just walked in on the snake trying to swallow my chicken. Grabbed snake by the throat. The rubbed edges don’t allow the snake to sliver away from the grip

It works well and handles snakes well, we live close to the woods and I have a pond We found two snakes under our grill that day I ordered this and it works. My luck I will never see another black snake again.
