Can this collet be used with the makita rt0701c router?

This collet will not work for the (North America) RT0701C . The large end of this collet is smaller than required. The entire unit will drop into the router shaft with no projection for the tightening nut to tighten against. Curiously, Makita does not make an eighth-inch collet for this router. Elaire Corporation does make them as a specialty supplier. Not cheap, but they're correct. Alternatively, you can use a reducing sleeve and use with your original 1/4" collet, but most puritans refuse to do so for some pretty good reasons. Cheers.

This question has been answered several times by various people over the years. Alas, the answer still remains "NO". Look to the response furnished by Greg in June of last year. It contains a qualified response to alternatives.

Does it work with Makita GD603 die grinder?

Makita says it's for the model GD0601 die grinder. They give a different collet number (763625-8) for the DG0603 grinder, and it looks different. So I'm going to say no.
