Great Customer Service!!
This is my 2nd RC crawler, I have the Scout II, one thing I really like about this one is it has compartments for everything, the battery has it's only spot that is secure so no worries about it flying out and has two velcro holding in down. It can def get up and go as well. I really like the look for the frame as it is different then the Scout II. Came quickly, packaged well, body was damaged but I contacted customer service and they responded quickly to my message and sent me a new body. They were very friendly! Would def order from them again! Thanks again!

Awesome RTR at even better price
Great flex out of the box. For the price? You can NOT do better. Period. Metal links and frame is a bonus at this price too! Adjustable shocks/wheelbase/ride height is great. It's a bit top heavy in RTR configuration but let's face it, If you're buying a hobby grade, you're not keeping it stock anyway....why pay twice as much for something you'll dump money into anyway when you can spend less all around?Tires are grippy and perform better than expected though the stock foams are a little too soft. Some decent dual stage fixes any gripes had there. My biggest gripe is the obnoxiously brittle bumper posts. Front bumper posts broke within 3 mins of first run. Great starter truck, or awesome RTR to build upon.Esc is good too! Hexfly 1040 isn't the best, but isn't a slouch either. 550 can gives more than enough torque for any beginner

Great Intro RC to Crawlers.
The media could not be loaded. When you buy this keep in mind this is the entry level price point for RC crawlers and the parts reflect that. The drivetrain and transmission are all plastic and so are the driveshafts. Within a month of owning this the plastic gears within the transmission stripped and failed from what I’d consider routine use. I was not abusing it. However, for about $100 I was able to upgrade to metal gears, a metal spur gear, and a metal transmission housing. If you’re willing to spend a little and take the time to upgrade parts, this thing is awesome. Very fun and capable crawler. Parts are easy to source (got all my upgrades on Amazon) and when I did reach out to red cat support they were awesome. Just remember you’re not paying for a $500+ crawler. But you can easily upgrade to make this thing much more capable and dependable.

They improved it!
The steering drag link is bowed up over the differential housing so that you can increase the steering angel when the dog bone are changed to cva. The steering knuckles no longer have stops. The drive shaft has been shortened so that it no longer bottoms out twisting the transmission frame. The skid plate screws are countersunk. We've run it a few times and nothing has broken except for the fact that the 1amp charger that came with it didn't work. But we contacted Redcat and the sent us a 2amp Hexfly charger for free. Just keep in mind their instruction not to turn the steering trim above 60 percent until you have done the upgrades. This is not a kids toy; it is an entry level hobby crawler that excels on the trail as it is pretty quick for a crawler.

I love the Redcat products. I’ve been wanting one of these for a while and finally bit the bullet. I love it!

Poor setup
The crawler needs a a lot of work the shocks are horrible it says down low and it was not set-up wright that was a pain I ordered extra upgrades but now I need shocks, this thing went up in price and redcat did nothing to solve the issues that and the steering is horrible were wrong in the first place, the redcat gen7sport was $199 then jumped up to $239, and some of there upgrade stuff no directions, like the roof light bar and don't get me started, now I half to dump more money in this thing and my brass weights are. Taking forever to get her not until June 17th to July 25th un believable

Good for the money
Great truck for the money. Takes pretty good abuse before some of the plastic parts begin to fail. Had to replace the servo arm and the transmission gear set after a couple of days. Again, I was pretty hard on it with some aggressive rock crawling. Would suggest getting an extra servo arm or two when buying kit. I bought a extra body shell and a simple light kit and it is now a really fun at night.
