Big Brother’s Best Friend
Amelia always had the worst crush on her brother Connor’s friend, Whit. Not only was her gorgeous, but he was also British which also made him exotic. They always called her Mimi, and now she’s twenty four and in London to work for six months, and hoping it will be with Whit.Showing up with her resume in hand, he doesn’t recognize his friend’s little sister all grown up, but thinks she’s a woman he met at a costume party that come to take him up on a “good time”. Before Mimi could tell him her name, stuff was happening and then she didn’t feel like talking. This is a funny, cute, sexy and romantic story that was not only way hot, but very sweet and if I was going to keep a heavy breather this would be it. Good job Donna Alam.

Great story, just a little stretched out
I’m usually all in on a Donna Alam book, but this one drug on that I almost DNF’d it. In general, the story started strong and had lots of 🔥. However, about 70% of the way through, I felt like the story stalled and just got a little dull. I put it aside for a bit and came back to it. Fortunately, that is where the story started picking up steam, and I’m glad I did finish it, because the last 25% of the book was wonderful. So, all-in-all, it was a worthwhile read, just hang in there if you stored to get bored/frustrated. It’ll be worth it in the end. 😉

It's great, BUT..... 3.5 stars
Love the storyline, but sometimes it gets to be too much with the sex scenes. Some scenes are so many pages, and it's gets to be just reading sex scenes. I love sex scenes, but it was just a little too much for me, and the story lost some of its depth because of it. Also, there are many places of dry dialogue. I love the end twist. I wanted more depth after the big reveal. Even if you can't deal with reading every word, I would still recommend the book. The backbone of the story is great it's just of the meat that's so so.

The interview book 1
This was a fairly long book but it was fun reading how they were fighting their feelings. It is interesting to note how you can learn about so many other kinds of things even though you are reading about a romance. Mentally and emotionally I stopped dead in my tracks near the end of the story. I have never heard of Brugada Syndrome and it sounds like more people ought to hear about it from my afterwards research. Her story played out in my own bedroom a month ago, with her family background being light compared to my husband 's background. (Don 't want to give away too much of the story here.) So for fear for his other family members I checked with the medical person in the family as to what exactly was the cause of the the other EIGHT family members issues. Thankfully their issues were different enough, and she was familiar with the syndrome that it put my mind to rest that this doesn't seem to run in my husbands family. However I had no idea there was such a rampant problem in his family until he went into the hospital. We are of the now older generation which some like my husband don't yet today take serious reoccurring family health issues. Do you research folks and act on it. We were both 77 and healthy, so we really didnt get ready for end times yet. He was still working. My husband was healthy on one Saturday and gone the next.

lief and Mimi are friends then lovers
Whit or Lief is the CEO of a bank. He made his way up there. He met Conner and Mimi’s family when Whit and Conner were in college and became friends. Mimi always enjoyed Whit but as they got older and real world took time apart. Conner passed during a trip and wanted Whit to look after Mimi. He wasn’t the best since he had a big family. He always sent her a card for her birthday, but that was more his secretary than him. Mimi comes for a job interview and is whisked away on a whirlwind love story that she always wanted but knows she can’t have. She loves Whit and always has but he deserves better than her. She hiding a secret and is only there for 6 months and things are getting serious and she needs to tell him but can’t since it breaks her heart to do that. So instead she plans on leaving him but doesn’t get the chance to. Great book.

Best Book I’ve read in awhile
I loved Whit and Mimi. Even though you know she’s had a crush on him her whole life, the book read and felt as if he fell first. The pent up lust and looks were great at the office and his family were great side characters. There was minor suspense—which is greatly alluded to throughout the whole novel—most was expected but the extent of it wasn’t. It added a bit of a twist. Their third act breakup could’ve been fueled by a bit more and the reconciliation was rushed a bit. The epilogue was great.I took off 1/2 a star just for the way the last 40 minutes of the book played out as it just fell a bit short of what was expected of the writing up to that point. BUT definitely not bad enough to pass up. Some of those steamy scenes will be remembered for a long while, lol.

Whit and Mimi
About the Author is correct when stating “heart, humor, and heat.” The heat scenes were often and superbly detailed at length. Really enjoyed the banter back and forth between Whit and Mimi. It was fun and made me chuckle. Both characters were very entertaining and easy to like.

Good spice, decent storyline, bad editing
The storyline was decent, it could’ve been fleshed out a little more. Spice was definitely there and plentiful from the very beginning. Only thing I have a huge issue with is the editing. This book took me a lot longer than necessary because I had to go back and make sure I understood the dialogue. The text bubbles were inconsistent with the pov and the American girl (24 yrs old) would use British slang even though it was pointed out (multiple times) that she didn’t understand it and had simple things explained to her multiple times. Some things also had extra letters or incorrect punctuation. Overall it needed to be looked over a lot better before publication.

It was so confusing. I never knew who was talking and who half the characters were. It was difficult to follow, and i was definitely not going to read 500 pages of this book.

SUPERB & SEXY
What can I say but absolute masterpiece, wicked banter, hot and steamy scenes, great story and the characters really come alive in this book. I do hope this one makes it to audible as I think it will be totally brilliant. I adored Whit's filthy mouth and his crazy family, this lady sure knows how to write a great book. Mimi is adorable and both of them have so much chemistry in this story it's just wonderful. I read it in Kindle unlimited and as soon as I'd finished it I went and bought it to keep it. If this is the standard of D. Alam's books then I shall definitely be reading more. What a brilliant refreshing story and so well written. Well Done! Please put it on audible 😍😍

Sizzling Straight Out of the Gate!
WOW! Donna doesn't mess around with this one! The chemistry and heat explode off the page straight out of the gate. And for someone who wasn't really into the whole "Daddy" scene before, consider me a convert to the church of Daddy Whit! When Amelia "Mimi" Valente shows up in London at Leif "Whit" Whittington's building, she has an agenda and it doesn't just include making a good impression in a bid to work for her brother's best friend. She has long held a flame for the hot banker, but she doesn't expect the interview to take quite the heated turn it does... and 'sans panties' at that!I love the premise of this story; launching straight into the sexy times just tickles my fancy with an almost reverse story-building theme. From there, this couple must navigate through their intense physical connection to some kind of working arrangement whilst keeping their hearts out of the bargain... yeah right! Like that was ever going to happen. You can't help but cheer for this couple from the sidelines. There's a genuine chemistry there that's obvious to the reader and being fought hard by the characters to avoid; it's a great game of cat and mouse. And I honestly thought I'd balk at the Daddy scenes, but the author handles them with class and oh so much sizzle... I'm sold!Whit's loyalty to Mimi's brother, his family, and his swoon-worthy romantic side will win over any reader. While Mimi's feisty positivity and give-as-good-as-she-gets bravado invest you in both of these characters. And then the twist Donna weaves in toward the end will have your heart in your throat. Damn you woman, for messing with my emotions like that!As usual, Donna's side characters add flourish, charm and a heavy dose of the chuckles to this heart-warming, panty-sizzling, heart-wrenching story and it's a treat to see a little of Donna's bristly Beckett and the lovely Olivia from TO HAVE AND HATE make an appearance. It's no surprise THE INTERVIEW is easily another 5-star read for me.
