I have had this for quite some time now and finally decided to mount it on my bike. It's becoming warmer out there and I always want to have a drink handy when I am riding for a long time on a hot day. this works great for holding bottles or cups with straws in them it mounts real easy and if you do a lot of riding on your gold wing you really should have one so can put a drink in it and stay hydrated while riding.

Fits good and doesn't vibrate loose while riding.

Plastic materials used to make it. So you know that means it won't take a hit and survive. Mainly a good product for it's purpose. Just make sure it doesn't take a direct blow or impact, it will break. Good price.

The installation was a little cumbersome since there aren’t any instructions included, but I figured it out. The holder itself is small, doesn’t fit most of my travel water bottles. The tightening system doesn’t tighten enough to mitigate unwanted jostling of the cup holding system. Just not the best thing all around.

Anything that goes on a motorcycle that is normally only found on cars has to be considered "better than nothing" and inherently comes with compromises because guess what... it's on a *motorcycle*! This mounts in a good position where the plastic covering the screw caps are always wanting to fall off on their own anyway. You either get a small thermos or something that will last you mostly for the day, or use this to avoid throwing away the soft drink at the fast food every time you're ready to head out. Just don't get the biggie size. It's worse for your health.

You should be aware that this may not stay perfectly level. You should only tighten the plastic nut by hand pressure. You just can't have a plastic nut holding perfectly level a cup holder on a round ball. I purchased a different model before this one with the same design from a major manufacturer that cost me $85 and it did the same thing. I tried to tighten it so it wouldn't and I ended up stripping out the plastic threads. So, all in all, I am happy with this one and would buy it again.
