Does what it's supposed to.
This thing is a lifesaver. It's notched on both sides so it will work with both Fender and non-Fender fretboards. It's cut accurately on both sides and is nice and straight so you can really see if your fretboard needs to be straightened or not.

Pretty good.
I'm overall very happy with this product, especially for the price. It doesn't do anything amazing. It's tolerances are not super tight. But it is more than adequate for the home and gigging guitarist. It is not super high end pro Luther grade but your not getting anything better for under $100 or so. I consider myself pretty handy and with a much more expensive tool I don't think I could produce better results.

Curved isn't straight
UPDATE: Below is my original review. The item has since been replaced. The replacement item came without a curve. It appears to be straight. My opinion is the item wouldn't bend as easily if it was even 1 mm thicker. The item still could use some markings as to which side matches which neck size.I upped my star rating to three.***ORIGINAL REVIEW***The item was bowed right out of the box. Has a nice curve in it when laid flat. No way to do an accurate assessment with a defective tool. When I lay it flat on it's back and hold down one end, the other end rises about 3/8" above the surface. No good way to flatten it with any confidence in it's fidelity. Also, neither side is marked as to which type neck it lines up with. It's true what they say: You get what you pay for...

Low cost great quality!
This is low cost but great quality. I checked it and it is truly flat on both edges. You really need one of these if you are your own guitar tech! I didn't know what I was missing, it has really made the setup process much faster and reduces time fine tuning fret leveling because you can be sure the neck is truly straight before you begin the fret job.

Very straight!
I checked the straightness against a polished granite countertop and no gaps were showing.
