Escape the Game: How to Make Puzzles and Escape Rooms

Oh dear... I took a gamble on ordering this as I could see it was self-published, but thought Adam would have some interesting and useful things to say about making escape rooms and escape room puzzles based on his bio and website. That may be so, but it really doesn't come across in the book.This book is massively let down by a lack of editing, proof reading, design and general support in getting ideas down into book form.The structure and content is generally poor (would have benefited from an editor and professional colleagues helping the author structure it and pull Adam's knowledge out onto the page!), and it is packed full of typos and other mistakes that a proof reader and designer could have easily sorted out.It reads like a poor undergraduate essay, with much of it being low quality and badly argued, but with little elements peeking through that show the author does have knowledge of the area.If the author reads this, sorry Adam, but next time please write for a platform where you'll get the support to structure and develop your arguments and get your knowledge across effectively (and where you don't need to worry about formatting, copy editing, etc.), I'm sure it'd make a massive difference!
