Best play food
We LOVE learning resources play food! It looks great and holds up well to rough playing toddlers. We initially had wood play food that was super cute but hurt a lot more when chucked straight at your face when your intense toddler chef/server aggressively serves your food “on the fly”. This food is just as cute as the expensive wood toys but our dog doesn’t have to seek shelter and we no longer have to wear helmets and face masks when playing kitchen. It is definitely worth the price and much better quality than other plastic play foods.

VERY USEFUL
It’s a great set & there are a variety of different things. These look great with my son’s little kitchen set, super durable. The colors on the fake food, make them look so real, lol! Overall super helpful for my little one to use his imagination more!

The only play food to buy!
I love these sets of New Sprouts Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner baskets. I couldn't wait to buy my daughter her very own kitchen since I loved mine so much when I was her age. I shopped around everywhere and read several Amazon reviews when it came to buying the right food to stock her fridge with. I finally settled on the Learning Resources New Sprouts sets. I'm so happy I did and the product exceeded my expectations. Why I Like It: -Very durable and constructed from a foam/rubber like material (has survived being stepped on and put in a toddler's mouth) - Adorably realistic and perfect for little hands (Food is not to scale, but that was something I was looking for after reading reviews on other foods too big for smaller pots and pans) -Created by a company that encourages creative development. (My best friend works at a school supply store and was very complimentary of the Learning Resources products.) -Teaches good food choices with more options like yogurt and veggies over chips and soda. -My child loves it! (She prefers these to her Melissa & Doug food set because its softer and more realistic) -Comes with shopping baskets that are great for pretend play and clean up! Dislikes: -The products are expensive compared with other plastic food alternatives. (for me the costs was worth it)

Just buy it.
At first I flinched at the price for a small toy food set when there’s countless others that have more for less money. But lemme stop you there. The detail and thought put into these toys is impressive. First off they’re not cheap plastic like a lot of other sets. They won’t crush when you step on them, and they’re not wood so they won’t hurt when thrown or chip paint when chewed on. Yes I’ve wasted money on wood and plastic sets and let me tell you I threw all that in the trash once this set got here. The texture is a durable rubber (think rubber dog toys). It’s squeezable but it’s not destroyable imo. My infant chews on the steak like it’s nobody’s business and my toddler chucks them clear across the room sometimes. I’ve stepped on a few by accident and to my surprise, no damage! (Lookin at you cheap plastic food toys). I’m absolutely going to purchase more sets from learning resources because the quality is just unmatched. I’ll never waste my money on wood or plastic food sets again. I’m a real parent, purchased this with my own money and have no incentives, just sharing my honest opinion to help other parents who may be on the fence.

Looks like real breakfast!
I bought them as a gift for my Daughter's best friends for Christmas and they were a really big hit. The 3 kiddos love to play pretend cooking together with these foods. These learning resources breakfast foods are very realistic. These are a very high quality product at a very reasonable price. I haven't been able to find a comparable product in stores. I will continue to buy pretend foods from Learning Resources, as they have already been played with for hours at a time by all of our kiddos ages 10 months - 29 months, even my 11 & 13 year olds enjoy joining in the fun from time to time.. I highly recommend this product. I was not & will not be provided any compensation for this honest & unbiased review.

Another creative set from Learning Resources
Learning Resources play food is the best (in terms of playfood). This set does not disappoint. Most of the included pieces are found in other Learning Resource New Sprouts Play food sets, but it does have apple slices, swiss cheese, and a bowl of tomato soup with oyster crackers which seem to be unique to this set. My children love the juice box and the glass of milk. The pretzels and cookie are weightier than expected. The swiss cheese slice is thicker and larger than the other (perhaps american?) cheese slice. The glass of milk is about the same size as the empty glasses/cups Learning Resources makes and includes in other sets. The tomato soup with oyster crackers is creative, but compared to other "prepared foods" bowls that Learning Resources makes (cereal, macaroni and cheese, and oatmeal with blueberries), it lacks in texture and the details seem a bit sloppy (but perhaps they were trying to make the crackers seem emerged in the soup). The apple slices are to scale with the whole apple that comes in other sets. A slice is about 1/6th of an apple. I find it interesting that Learning Resources likes to include a slice of salami for the sandwich meat in sandwich sets. How often does someone use a slice of Salami for sandwiches? The turkey slice that comes with the Learning Resources LER9256 Sprouts Complete Play Food Set makes more sense. Also (and this is a minor complaint/suggestion), while my children love the glass of milk, it would be nice of Learning Resources made a half gallon or gallon of milk to encourage children to pretend to pour milk (an important skill when your child has sensory issues). Overall a good set.

These are the best quality play food products on the market. They are easy sanitized in a childcare environment and they will never wear out. Sure they may be expensive but they are worth every penny. They are realistic and sturdy but they do not cause damage when thrown!

So glad we bought this basket. Everything is made from high quality, soft and durable plastic. Unlike cheaper sets, the food items are very realistic and have a good weight. Just perfect for learning about different food, role play, and expanding your child’s food choices in a non-confrontational way.

This is the best “play food” I’ve ever purchased! Very solid and detailed! Not like the usual cheap plastic food toys bought at other stores! Very well made products!
