Works and fits well, and could save a lot of money by keeping your AirPods in your pocket.
I have used this for over a year and I really like it. Yes, it is a bit bulky but without it my AirPods were always sliding out of my pocket when I sat down. If I were to choose again, I would get a brighter color so when I throw it in my backpack I could find it. But that is advice, not a criticism. Also, it tends to collect lint a lot but a quick rinse takes care of it. The carabiner is attached with rubber and is not reinforced so personally, I would not rely on just that. But it is a good product that will save you the frustration of losing $150 worth of Apple product if it slips out of your pocket.

Hooks usefulness questionable
Case is well enough made and fits, caribiner type hook is quite useful. However the hooks are not needed for me and if kept on airpods then they will not fit in the Apple case. So you would have to put the hooks on each time which is not convenient unless you really need them. They are a bit try thin too and may stretch or tear with repeated use.

Case is as described. Has a little rubber plug for the charge port to keep it safe from debris. The power button in the back is positioned accurately. The clip is a nice extra and the ear hooks work for my ears to give a snug and comfortable fit. -1 star because there is nowhere to store the ear hooks with the airpods or case.

The only thing is that it's hard to open the top. Which I knew that when purchasing this item because of another review that said the top was hard to open when this case was on. However, I really just wanted something to protect my case. And that's what it does.

Great Protective Covering...If you AREN'T going to put it in your pocket.
This case works as promised. Good fit, handy that you don't have to open a case then open AirPod case. However, if you are going to attached this to car keys and keep this in your pocket then it's not for you. Besides being a lint-magnet the rubber makes putting this in and pulling out of your pocket a chore.

Falls apart in 2 months - not a good buy
I was hoping this would last but I am now 2 months into this purchase and the case is no longer usable. First issue I had was the case started to stretch and my airpods began slipping out of the case. After almost loosing the airpods twice from them slipping out I desperately tried super gluing them to the inside of the case. That solution worked for a while. 2nd and final issue: Just this week the silicon/rubber loop that holds the carabiner to the case broke and again I almost lost my AirPods. Now the case is simply unusable and failed my needs to protect the AirPod investment.Before you spend money on this one make sure to read reviews on the Performance after 2 and 3 months.
