Superman For All Seasons

A Must-Have.
This is quintessential Superman. Don’t even read this, just buy it. It doesn’t get better. The art is fantastic. Tim Sale was a very unique artist, sometimes this look wonky, especially anatomy, and then you’d turn the page and see one of the most beautiful images in comic history. This whole book is like that. It’s a modern take on a classic art style, and it’s a masterclass. My very favorite from Tim Sale (even more than Batman: The Long Halloween). The writing is pitch perfect. As much as I love Grant Morrison’s Superman, at time he gets a little too cerebral. This IS Superman. It’s not dumb, or clunky, it’s engaging and inspiring and what comics should be. The story is fantastic, familiar but made into its own. It’s all heart. It’s flawless, and leaves me wanting more.If you’re not really familiar with Superman’s world, this is the PERFECT place to start. It’s an origin story that moves along quickly, and has all the major players. It’s a quick read, can be done in one or two sittings. It’s also one of the major influences for the (at this time) upcoming 2025 Superman movie. As far as the book quality: I have the paperback. It arrived in mint condition, the pages are slightly thin but glossy (normal comic pages). The printing is great, the colors and artwork are as vibrant as they should be. Very happy with this purchase.

A super fun storyline for Superman fans old and new!
As someone who isn't A Superman fan and always found the hero pretty generic, Superman: For All Seasons made me like the hero even more since this is my first ever Superman comic that I've read. I love that Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale who did my favorite Batman comics Long Halloween and Dark Victory were behind this take on the Man of Steel. The artwork is wonderful especially the colors really pop on Superman's suit. I love the story in different seasons that touches on hope and Superman/Clark Kent struggling with both his identities. Very uplifting. Well done and I recommend this to anyone who's never read a Superman comic.

A gem of a man first, the "Man of Steel" later.
Trying to get into Superman, or you consider yourself a Supes vet, this is required reading! If someone claims Superman is boring, and/or he is outright unrelatable, hand this over. There's over 80% chance that they'll be a fan of Clark at the end of the read, or at least come out with a better understanding of the character. (Why not 100%, you ask? Because some people are simply resistant to change, or they are too arrogant to admit they are wrong.)Set slightly before the time he decides to become Superman, the story dives deep into his motivations and his ties to other characters including his friends and family. It stands by itself or can be considered a fantastic addendum to any other origin story like Superman: Birthright, Secret Origin etc. This wholesome story is masterfully written, and the art is uniquely incredible! Needless to say, I thoroughly love it. I'll be picking up the Absolute (Hardcover) edition that comes with even more vibrant colors to enhance the artwork. This one's a keeper, folks.

Outstanding Comic, Alright Delivery
This has to be the best Superman comic book I've ever read! The book did come with very slight creases on the corners upon delivery, but it didn't bother me all that much. Overall, the comic book was great, but the delivery could have been better.

Legendary
This is THE DUO. They’re the masters of crafting timeless, warm, and genuine descriptions of heroes. They don’t need overly complicated plots, villains, or threats to make us understand exactly who Superman is and how he perfectly fits into this world.

Great early Clark Kent story
It's a enjoyable early story of Clark Kent growing up in Smallville. Then the move to Metropolis. Including an early Lana Lang story line and Ma and PA Kent. The illustrations and graphics are outstanding, I had never read this story with this type of drawing before. Really enjoyed

Heartwarming!
A wonderful tale of the beginnings of Superman and his perseverance in what he believes in and in himself. But "Sam's Story" . . . that one is truly something people need to read.
