Works well to keep your urine separated!
I have used these Free Range Designs urine separators many times now, I first used one when I was living off grid and it was used by a family of 7 for over a year. It stood up well to continuous usage and the white ones still look clean and good as new.I bought three more last year for our new glamping site at Freespirit Glamping. I built three compost loos and off-grid showers and they were used every day by members of the public that tend to be less careful than you might be. Apart from some people apparently not being able to control their pee, when they did hit the target, it takes your wee away with ease. You can either attach this to a bottle of some sort or to a pipe to takes the pee away. These stood up very well to public usage and most people got the concept of keeping their business in separate pots. They have to be fitted to a wooden base and it take a bit of additional cutting to fit these far enough forward, but since you're making your own loo if you're buying this, that won't be much of a challenge.I really like the product and have just ordered 2 more, but this time direct from the manufacturer as Amazon is a lot more expensive than they are now. I don't know how the seller justifies a 50% price hike. I really like the ethics of the manufacturer too. Great product that is well made and does the job well.

Nothing fits
I had to make a lot of adjustments to get this to fit and could not find any pipes to fit the size of the outlet. So many trips to the shops and a lot of money later I had to order a silicone funnel type adaptor and cut to size in order to get it to fit!

Meh
It’s basically ok but it was difficult to fit a 40mm fitting to it (as pictured in the instructions) a push fit fitting fell straight off and a compression fitting wasn’t much better! I had to make about 3 trips to B&Q to get it sorted. The outlet was tapered so it was hard to get a good fit. Also, the instructions say you should fashion a spacer to stop user’s willies dangling in....so why not make it deeper to save all the faff? Also, I thought I was getting a white one but black cane instead. I was ok with that but still...
