Best Of Bond... James Bond, The

R.I.P. Clifton James.
I bought this CD for a few of the titles, but after putting it on my phone, and listening to it several times I have found I really enjoy many of the other Bond themes as well. I find myself listening to it straight through. The only movie theme that I still can't warm up to is "The man with the golden gun".I did watch that movie again yesterday since Clifton James, who plays the Sheriff in both "Live and let die" and "The man with the golden gun" movies passed away. That spiral jump over the river is UNREAL cool.

Very good stand-alone songs on one CD.
I just want to say that you don't have to be a Bond fan to enjoy the music on this CD. Each song is a solid composition that will keep you satisfied until the last song. I am not here to review each song independently, but if you want an album of songs that you can put on your Ipod and just let it run; you will be pleasantly surprised. There are 24 songs, but none of them are more than 4:05 minutes long; So the boredom factor is not an issue here. Get this album. I enjoyed not just the music independently; but the entire CD.

Don’t spend more on a Bond CD
No need to waist your money on those expensive versions of this CD as this one has all the greatest theme songs in high quality! The first half of course is ho hum with the old style music but the last half takes it to another level of Bond music. Can’t beat the price!

Yeah, this is the one.
This is the CD that is not a remake, instrumental, etc. It is the original songs and soundtracks. Sometimes the JB Theme is not the right one. This one contains the original as are all the other songs. It contains all the songs from the earlier movies up to the lastest listed on the CD.Will just have to wait for another CD for the lastest. James Bond is a moving target, it seems. Another Bond movie is coming out again.

We Finally Know His Name!
Normally, I'd say this just one of umpteen "Best of" CDs chronicling the many James Bond title songs. However, what makes this collection stand out is the inclusion of 'You Know My Name', the theme to 'Casino Royale', marking the first time the song has appeared on a Bond soundtrack. So, if you want all the title songs to every James Bond picture from Dr. No to Casino Royale, go buy this little gem of a release. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful CD
I think that this is the best Bond theme CD that I've seen. All of the others have other people playing them, but this one has the originals. Having "We Have All the Time in the World" was a nice touch, because even though it isn't a Bond theme, it is a beautiful song. Having the music videos for some of the songs was nice to, and I enjoyed watching the documentary about the Bond music. I would definitely recommend this CD.

Good to have "You Know My Name" on a real Bond album
It was good to see Chris Cornell's "You Know My Name" from CASINO ROYALE finally show up on an official James Bond CD album of the soundtrack themes and songs. However, that's was about all I really liked here. Missing is the GoldenEye trailer music that was on the last compilation of official James Bond soundtrack themes on CD. David Arnold's bonus track of the James Bond Theme is somewhat a huge disappointment. It is totally unmoving and truly lackluster. The DVD selections are okay but the visuals could have been digitally restored much better. The A VIEW TO A KILL video looked rather faded. There was a short documentary on the music of James Bond but you can find this on one of the James Bond movie DVDs. I do not remember exactly which one, but this documentary video had been previously released. If you like to have all the theme music from DR NO through CASINO ROYALE for the first time this is a good CD to get. However, you you have been around a while you get the picture. Well, that's just my opinion.
