Warehouse deal bargain!
This was a Warehouse deal, described as in 'Used - good' condition - minor cosmetic imperfections on "top, front or sides", "bottom or back" and "interior" of item, "accessories may have cosmetic damage". The minor cosmetic imperfections to the guitar itself were mainly just that - in fact, very minor: the only way to see them is to look at a light source reflected in the guitar, and few guitars have an absolutely perfect finish...There's a series of small dents in the back if the neck that are virtually invisible and don't affect the playability at all, another minor dent by the machine heads (also almost invisible), and what looks like a splash mark on the side of the headstock, which has almost polished out already. Not perfect, but not at all bad! There was no sign of cosmetic damage to the "accessories": in fact, there was no sign of the tuner battery or the truss rod Allen key at all....So, once it was unpacked and inspected, it was time to try it out. First chord sounded terrible, guitar way out of tune (which is when I had to go find a battery!). Tuned up, beautiful sound on 'open' chords, amazingly good action but barre chords from 5th fret up were unplayable - the strings didn't buzz, they just sounded 13th/14th fret notes! (That's when I discovered the Allen key was missing - I suspect whoever 'improved' the action still has it.) Once I'd found an Allen key that was the right size, adjustments started. And continued. And continued. (Slowly - I'm not a guitar tech!) Over the following three weeks, I adjusted and re-adjusted the truss rod, used narrow strips of paper to raise the bridge saddle, restrung with lighter gauge strings, re-adjusted the truss rod, lowered the bridge saddle again, re-adjusted the truss rod, and finally....Finally, the intonation is just about perfect (the tuner shows one string may be out - it varies between very slightly sharp and very slightly sharper, but I don't hear a problem), and the action is probably as good as I'm going to get it for the time being. I'll probably invest in a couple of cheap bridge saddles sometime, so I can carve pieces off them to see if that helps: however, having said that, the action is pretty good, and the main problem is probably my lack of practice over the past year or three...Overall, it's a nice looking and nice sounding guitar, and I'm delighted with it. Five stars? Definitely - the adjustments took three weeks, but that was generally less than half an hour at a time (while watching tv!) every third or fourth day, then waiting till everything bedded in. If I'd taken the guitar to a professional tech, I'd probably have been charged about £40 - which would still have been a pretty good deal, since the guitar only cost me £53.51! 😎

Good communication from manufacturer
Bought this guitar for my son in October - really pleased at first but when we needed to change the strings, we had difficulty with the pins on the bridge. Manufacturer called and tried to resolve the situation on the phone but sadly the guitar became damaged through my son's attempts to fix it (he obviously used excessive force) - due to this damage we didn't think we could legitimately return the item. I would recommend anyone else in these circumstances to contact manufacturer to see if they can advise, ask to return item or get a music shop to look it over. Acoustic guitars due to their construction are unable to withstand too much pressure and it would have been safer in hindsight passing it over to someone who knew how to deal with the issue and resolve the fault.

a decent guitar, good value for money.
I bought this for my husband, he's a beginner on guitar but already a professional musician on other instruments. He found it well made, with a good tone, I enjoyed the sound. It looks good and was well priced. The low quality carry case is the only minus, but you can't expect more at this price.I am very pleased with my purchase.

Quality affordable exotic guitar
The set-up of the guitar was a very good, precise quality: e.g. the actioning, great, the right distance and gives a good ring, all the frets level, uses a good bridge along with a few other setup features a good guitar website talked about checking. The pickup inside works brilliantly. It feels good, solid quality. Very easy to tune with the onboard tuner that comes with a 9V battery underneath the unit when you lift it out.An all round very good exotic wood dreadnought guitar at an affordable price. The gig bag it comes in though isn't thick enough to protect it from knocks and bangs which is understandable as you are getting it free with the guitar. I would buy a gig bag seperately too.Definately well worth the buy though. If you want 2 strap nuts, you need to get a second strap nut fitted near the neck base as it only comes with one on the bottom of the guitar. All in all, buy it.

Beautiful guitar of excellent build quality
I bought this as a gift for my husband but have to admit to having a bit of play myself. To look at, it is a beautiful instrument with a superior quality of build and a beautiful warm sound. I agree with the previous reviewer that the bag won't protect it a great deal from heavy knocks but you can always buy a better one seperately.I can't be all technical about how the instrument is set up but all I know is it plays beautifully, is easy to tune because of the in built tuner and is a pleasure to own. My husband and I are complete novices and could have bought a cheaper product but I definitely think I made the right choice in spending a little more for a fantastic instrument.
