recently used the WORKPRO Hori Hori Garden Knife for a sprinkler head replacement project, and it’s quickly become one of my go-to gardening tools! This 7" stainless steel blade with a sharp cutting edge and serrated side is a powerhouse for a variety of tasks, including digging, weeding, and, in my case, precisely replacing a sprinkler head.The knife’s sturdy, rust-resistant stainless steel blade made quick work of digging through compacted soil and grass roots around the sprinkler head. Its slightly concave design and pointed tip allowed me to create a clean, precise hole to access the sprinkler system without damaging surrounding turf. The serrated edge was particularly useful for cutting through tough roots that were entangled near the old sprinkler head, making removal a breeze. I had the nicest Japanese Hori Hori knife the past few years and it had become my number one garden tool for just about everything. Recently I let my husband use it and he broke it in half, trying to use it to dig a hole. He didn't realize how to use a Hori Hori, it's not meant for leverage, it's a cutting tool, he should have cut the hole instead of dig it.So I found this one and the ratings were very high so I thought I would try it. I really like the feel of this one, it has a very comfortable handle that isn't wooden, but it's very sturdy. It feels like the knife is all one piece, with a silicone cover over the handle, and so far I like it. The shape differs from my Japanese one, but the price was good on this and I am happy with it. It cuts well and has the measure marks that I had come to rely on. It fits in my smaller hand a bit more comfortably than my old one.

As a Senior Citizen this is now my GO TO safer HORI. Started using Hori Hori knives years ago. Wooden handles, I chose these workpro specifically for the Rubber handle. So, after wooden handles for 5 yrs, I give you an HONEST review. The handle is softer, and also safer than the wooden ones, because the handle has non slip ridges/texture embedder in the rubber like handle. It comes with a sheath that can be held close at hand with a belt if you use them. I generally keep my Hori Hori knife inside my big brimmed hat with the bug netting cover. If you have been using wood ons which are good You may find the build quality is admirable on the workpro. The blade is about the same this one seems easier to clean, thickness is durable in strength.

This is nice, but I tried to use it to cut around my pavers where ground cover had grown over them, and it tore and pulled out the creeping thyme.I had used a serated kitchen knife the time before, and that worked perfectly, but I didn’t want to ruin my knives. I may try a jig saw.I have tiny hands, and this knife fits well, comes in a nice snapping holder, and it does work well on weeds. I will also try it on the weeds in the cracks of my driveway and sidewalks (Yes, I do have sidewalks!)

This is my favorite garden tool, It breaks through tough clay, is small enough to divide transplants, cuts weeds, etc and etc. So may uses, I've gifted to other avid gardeners who've been equally as pleased as I am. I get a little anxious if I mislay it somewhere until I find it again. Highly recommended.

This is the do-it-all tool for the home gardener! I love the smooth blade, the serrated side, the pointed tip. It’s a really good weight too. It’s got some heft to it. The silicone (?) handle is very grippable, especially with wet hands. And it comes with a very well-made, heavy-duty sheath.

Bought for the bright handle and haven’t lost it yet (hoping my wood handle ones will still appear). Very sturdy. Not very sharp, which is what I wanted. Not buying it for cutting. Love having the measurements on the blade. Will come in handy when planting bulbs.
